What a clever bit of marketing that was, I remember it well... "choosy mom's choose JIF".

Aka, "you're a gutter mom if you don't buy our brand of peanut butter"

I loved that stuff and ate it my whole life but ever since they had that recall and came back at an exponentially higher price I've boycotted them.

Now I eat the great value "natural" pb (with palm oil instead of seed oil). Pretty sure Peter Pan makes it.

I saw that Costco didn’t have on the shelf’s, what was the final reason for pulling it. Still have a jar in the pantry, is it time to start my search for another cheap protein?

Personally, I'm not big on vegetable oils. JIF does have a natural version made with palm oil but it's also really low sodium and imho, pb needs a nice bit of sodium.

Salmonella was the reason for the recall, and you're right about peanut butter being one of the most nutrient dense foods for your buck.

The recall was in 2022 so you're safe by now

In 2022 there was a batch from a plant in Kentucky with potential salmonella.

Boxer - pit mix?

He's a pure bred olde english bulldogge. Different breed than English bulldogs; very athletic, great temperament, and very, very smart. They can overheat more easily than a dog with a long snout.

Nice! Doesn't look too crowded. I've been at least a dozen times, but not in the last few years for one reason or another. We used to go about half the time in July and the rest in January. Got a deal at certain hotels so I always picked the Camel's Garden which is pretty deluxe.

It's not too bad, although it's getting there. It's definitely a neat place to visit and the mountain scenery is beautiful!

There was a local breeder here. They were IOEBA registered, but they don't need any longer.

He's a great dog. Probably the best dog I've ever had.

I’m a pointer man for life.

I bought his mum 11 years ago, we lost her to cancer last year. He’s not bad though.
