Meet Cooper. He’s a seven year old boxer that came to us three days ago. His parent could no longer take care of him. We’ve had boxers for about 22 years. We lost our last one, Bolt, about two years ago and it about killed me. I was not sure that I’d ever have another. The owner’s relatives were having a hard time finding a new home for him and were getting ready to send him off to a boxer rescue facility. The vet that had taken care of my boxers in the past, suggested we might be a good fit. It seems so.. Since Cooper had lived in the same home for his entire life, there will be some adjustments, but he seems to be feeling more at home and relaxed. I’m told that he is half European and half American boxer breeds. Not that I know much about that yet. Say hi to our new family member.
