My previous dog would chase the gush of water coming out of the sprinkler as it rotated clockwise, never going the opposite direction. He'd end up completely soaked on his right side and relatively dry on his left.

He's hanging in there. Since that episode I gave him 1 Trazodone the following evening, (instead of two like the prior night), and the following two nights I gave him 6 mg of melatonin. So far, so good...no crawling under the bed or other apparent issues.

If only they could speak and tell you what the matter is...but he's been good. He was feeling his oats and kicking my ass in a tug of war battle the other day.

Yes, if only they could speak. Those are really good signs you are seeing and Kobe is having/feeling.

I have a feeling that there's something baked into his DNA or from his past that we'll never know. (Before we rescued him, he had been brought in by "Animal Control", so there's no known prior history.)

He's a little different...but he's a lover boy and a leaner...barks every couple of months or so, and growls at me to entice me to play.
 
Those dogs that can communicate with the buttons that say words are pretty crazy. I’m not sure I would want mine to be able to use those. 24 hours a day of “walk”, “outside”, “ball” and ect. Mine seem to get the message across as to what they want without speech buttons.

Yeah...we love that he's "quiet"...because he has a way of making himself understood otherwise.
