Crash Rat Vs. Toilet

. I don't need excuses.

I wasn't making any excuses, I was stating a fact. He hit a very hard object (a toilet) with softer object (the Crash Rat). While the Crash Rat is hardened steel it is not as hard as a toilet.

In fact the Crash Rat was not designed to destroy toilets, it was designed as an entry ax/tool, and unless someone is hiding in a toilet it works perfectly for what it was designed to do. ;) It works fine for just what it was designed to do, to destroy doors, windows, walls, and metal.

As I stated we will be happy to resharpen it. I'm fairly certain from the pics that is all that is needed. This was not a gross failure.

If you want a real challenge attack a windshield with a knife blade(edge) that will cause much more damage than that toilet ;)

Doyh! Thanks all for providing the common sense that was escaping my little brain. I'm sitting here in front of a ceramic rod Shapemaker by Spydeco which is obviously harder than the steel knife it's meant to sharpen. Doyh!

Hey Eric, are these coming to the Co. Store any time soon?

You aren't playing are you Bully!!!! Mojos...I know there is a wink there, but that can be interpreted several ways!!!!!

C'mon, GF - you don't really want one of those old Mojo's, do ya?

I think that's weak and I am disappointed (yet, somehow not surprised) in the crash rats performance.

I'd be very, very interested in seeing a knife or axe that can take a direct heavy hit to the rim of a toilet and not have the edge look worse then what you see there (with a similar amount of force, roughly the same geometry).

If the storms ever stop hitting the shop I'll be getting all kinds of goodies. M6's, HR LM's, Rat Mojo's, Uncle Mojo's, Crash Rats ;)

:D:D

Will you take an order via email? :D

I don't need to see them pictured in the store to know I want one of each of those five. I'LL TAKE EM!!!

I knew when he swung it at the toilet that there was going to be a dent.

What concerned me is that the steel wasn't just bent over, it was so damaged that he actually wiped it away with his thumb. Like the tiny iron shards you play with magnets with.

For the record the owner never mentioned warranty or being unpleased with the product.

Common Sense is something that most all of us possess... It's just that it sometimes gets over-thrown by high levels of testosterone that enter one's bloodstream shortly after picking up something like SRKW's Crash Rat! :)

Nice work, but I think a lead pipe would have done just as much damage, and a lead pipe doesn't cost $400.

Maybe next time, dig up some concrete with an axe or a knife, that would make sense. :jerkit:

FYI the Crash Rat was $178.95. We're the poor man's Busse forum. $400 ain't in our vocabulary.;)

Wow... up from the depths.

You know? I connected a portable LP tank to my motorhome recently because I was tired of driving it by a place to get the LP refilled.

I blew the gaskets out of the hot water heater valves. Hmmm...

I had installed it downstream of the regulator in the system. Oops, I thought I was upstream of the regulator but downstream of the check valve.

Life is full of things that make you say, "Huh. I didn't think it would do that. [scratches head] It does kinda make sense though."

Live and learn - that's what life is about. Luckily, forums are collective group knowledge where the experiences of individuals can aid the collective group before we become inspired to try the same thing.

1- Objects made of the same materials as sharpening implements should probably not be chopped.

2- Installing a full-pressure LP tank post-regulator, may (will) blow gaskets and seals on downstream items.

Thank you for your time. :D

One word... why?

Do you not have anything better to do than to go ninja on a toilet? If you answer "no", I suggest you use a dispensable hammer next time.

Only $178.95?? Go ahead and trash it then!!!

Do you honestly not see my point?? Nevermind, who cares. I guess this is why I don't hang out in this forum.

I think he did see your point. In fact, I'm quite certain that your point wasn't a revelation to him.

A lot of what comes out here is tongue-in-cheek. We have fun and help out when we can.

Please stay and hang out. Do please try and lighten the tone though.
