Crash Rat Vs. Toilet

My grandmother used the rim of porcelain bowls to sharpen her kitchen knives
, the practice of sharpening steel on porcelain has been used for hundreds of years. The toilet itself is brittle but the porcelain outer layer is hard as hell.

Sad you ruined a great tool.

hope you will be able to get it back "on duty".

If you decide to stick around leave the "Jerk-it" smiley off of your posts, it is not appreciated on this forum and if it happens after this warning you will receive an infraction.

It appears your only reason to post here is to cause trouble (in other words trolling) be careful, you are now on my radar screen and I'll be watching what you post.

Take it easy. I'm having a rough day today and seeing people destroy a perfectly good tool doing something it isn't intended to do irritates me. However, it is everyone's right to do what they choose with their tools so I should have kept my mouth shut.

Eric, I have just one question:
If the "jerk it" smiley is not appreciated and can get me an infraction, why is it on the list of smileys to choose from? If it should not be used, fine, but I don't appreciate being threatened for using a smiley that people use every day here. Take it off of the list of smileys to use if it is not allowed.

I was out of line with my origional post, but I think your threat was out of line as well. If speaking my mind will get me an infraction, then so be it.

RESPECT THE MODERATOR STAFF. It's a thankless job and they make my life a lot easier. Piss them off, and you can find yourself gone.

Should we choose to put you on probation or give you a warning, it's because we're feeling very generous... so pay heed to that warning.

Based on the rules of the forum, since your overall tone has been a bit hostile in all of the postings, I would take the warning as being generous and move on with life. :D

don't argue with the mod's (on the public forum), better to send him a PM, just some friendly advice.

It's better to let everything cool down, no need to flame out over something that is not important enough to get an infraction for

Each moderator is allowed to run their own forum as they see fit. The jerk-it smiley is not appreciated in this forum or others. People do not use that smiley on this forum everyday, they may use it other places but not here (nor community, nor the Busse forum)

My threat as you like to call it is not out of line, nor is it a threat, it is a warning and it will get you an infraction. The infraction won't be for speaking your mind but for doing so in such a trollish manner. Please just try to be more polite when posting. I think we both had bad days, let's just leave it at that and start over fresh.

Only $178.95?? Go ahead and trash it then!!!

Do you honestly not see my point?? Nevermind, who cares. I guess this is why I don't hang out in this forum.

OUCH!! To be brutally honest I'd prefer that you stayed away from this forum completely. The folks here are very cool. You just wouldn't fit in. I guess the little winking smiley went right over your hard head:mad:. Did you figure out what that red smiley with the angry look represents? Crawl back under the little rock from which you emerged today. You've got a lot to say for someone we've never seen around here before. I'm finished with my rant now. Sorry Porkerson, had to let it out.

Why? Just... Why???

You ask why, I ask why not?

Pretty impressive from both the ceramic toilet and the ax. For a swing with moderate to high power behind it I would have expected much more damage. It’s easy to forget how 'hard' glass can be.

So what does this say about the Boker ceramic blade knife? Does anyone else use ceramic in their blades?

The ceramic blades will be very very hard, and need almost no sharpening, however, they are also brittle, and will never make good heavy use blades ever. there is a give and take

Sad to say this is the most action the Swamp Forum has seen in a while! Ahh Mike Biz dont feed the trolls! But do pass the koolaid...
