Google lens has vascilated on identifying this stick-like critter ... From cutworm to inchworm to other much more exotic species ,.. so I will just leave it with you

Lovely pattern ... but then I enjoy finding snake skins in the woodpile too 😁

A rare albino miniature mountain lion.
 
Nearly ran over this desert kingsnake riding my bike home the other night. It was about

3.5' long, give or take.

This Mediterranean house gecko lives on (in?) the wall right outside my door. They're extremely common here, and although non-native, they're not considered invasive because they don't negatively affect anything (in fact, they eat bugs you probably don't want in your home).

This is a Sonoron Desert whiptail that lost or gave up its tail. Some lizard species can perform "autotomy", which is when they detach part of their tail (which often keeps twitching) to evade predators. Not so whippy anymore, are ya?
