CRK Sub-Forum Idea. . .

When the time is right, it will happen. Spark will make it happen in due time. Like Esav said, he is taking care of some personal things and we can all respect him for that.

I am interested 100%. The interested never wavered. Just figured Spark was busy with other things
 
I hate to go against the grain, but I wouldn't want to see a separate sales forum for CRK.

I saw some in the Spyderco room wanting the same thing not long ago, and there are way more Spyderco listed here than CRK's.
More KIA(ZT and Kershaw) and Benchmade knives are listed as well, but I don't want to see any of those listed separate either.

It would be a hassle(IMO) to have to look in a differnet sales forum for every brand of knife.

Most here at BF buy many types of knives, and it is much better to see them all in one sales forum.
Just my opinion though.
 
I think Ken44 makes a good point but I'd still be in favor of having a CRK only forum. Mostly because 90% I only look on the exchange for CR knives and nothing else. It would be easier to locate the hard to find stuff that CRK hobbyist own and sometimes decide to sell like, like Regular Sebenzas, Annuals, Old pivot Umnums, etc. Then you could still hunt the general classifieds for the random find. It would also be nice to have our own WTB section attached to it or maybe merged to it until the traffic picked up on it.

I agree. I am 99% exclusively CRK. When I go to the exchange, I am only looking for one thing and that's CRK. It is extremely rare that I buy something from a different maker. I WANT a CRK Only For Sale page. They can mix and match folders and fixed blades, that would be more than fine. I know their are other fine makers out there, but they are not for me and I hate browsing through knives that have NO interest to me.
 
It seems when it comes down to it, a lot of CRK users are typically looking for a "specific" CRK knife. It would be great at least, if they would allow a sticky thread "Looking for...". Only thing is, I'm not sure how that would be handled through the exchange to keep all above board.
 
While I am not in the market for anything, I have wondered why this hasn't happened yet.
I would be interested for sure.
 
I appreciate the input from everyone, including the opposing points of view. You can get a sense of the great CRK community we have on this board--no sniping, snide remarks, arguing, petulence, or otherwise--just good, healthy input. Yet another reason I think this CRK sales sub-forum would work and perform famously!
 
I think we warrant one, also. CRKs to many of us are in a class by themselves, and a sub forum is fitting.

I never have to buy two of them, see which one is better and send the other back. :)
 
Great Idea. Lots of us miss the buying opportunity, because some pros and dealers live off this and have lots of time to browse. By the time we get to it, it's usually sold. With a unique forum , it would level the playing field .
 
I actually really like this idea. As long as the exchange is open to all I see no issue with this. I haven't read through all of the pages but from the what I read on this past page it sounds like this will be a go soon once Spark gets some time. If that is true then I will be interested to see how it all turns out. My prayers are with you and your family Spark.
