CRKTs 2017 Lineup

I have a few of their knives: EROS Titanium, Endorser and Ripple. They have served well with value at their price points. No complaints.

Nothing in this new batch grabs my interest.

Overpriced compared to the competition. One folder looked good but besides the cost and materials used not matching it was way too heavy.Crkt continues to show they don't get it.

As usual they have a lot of designs I like but ultimately won't even consider buying because of their consistent use of mediocre, if not worse than, materials and shoddy construction.

I wish they used better steels. The ones they use don't have the photogenic qualities like S35VN or M4.

Yeah, remotely interesting!

ETA: Honestly looking at it again how in the hell does it weigh 5 ounces?

Plastic handles even. The rat 1 or utilitac II have better materials at about half the price and come from a better company. Crkt cannot compete when it comes to knife buyers who know what they are doing.

I like the jasper vox on the first page, the crossbones looks kinda cool too

hahaha brutal though, the best knives crkt had just got the "krupp" treatment to meet a lower price point

4116 krupp stainless, basically a German version of 420hc

easy sharpening, low price, and of course low edge holding

I like the homefront and the hi-jinx but dang hahaha we wanted high end steel at $100-120 on those designs not rock bottom steel to bring the design down to $60, yikes

Some great designs there. The Hi-Jinx, the Lucas Burnley Aux, and the Mah Remedy all look exciting. Materials correlate with the low price point.

We can hope CRKT will do some sprint runs in higher quality materials.

I think CRKT makes nice knives for the price point. I would not have an issue using some of them for basic EDC, unless maybe if I was attacked by waves of zombie cardboard boxes, then I might wish for a better steel. But the ocassional box, packaging or pesky sandwich that must be cut before eating, I feel they would all do the job easily.

I will say that the Homefront I just got is very impressive. It's a very well made and designed knife.

My daughter and her husband recently got me a Crkt small Fossil on the advice of a salesman at BassPro. A nice enough knife with the same steel as my Tenacious (but not as good a knfe as the Tenacious). Too much sentimental value to take it back in exchange for something else. My first Crkt. My only other sentimal knife is a gift from my wife on a special occasion 7 years ago. A William Henry. Different end of the scale, but I don t carry that either, except on extemely special occasions. By far my most expensive knife. Too special and expensive to carry.
Maybe I.ll carry the Fossil tomorrow.

I like a couple of the Vox designs (especially that first one) but with the mediocre quality and materials my CRKT buying days are most likely over.

That crossbones looks cool. I like the crkt fixed blades I have. Disappointed there's no new japanese style blades in the line up though.

I'm thinking if they decide to make the Pineapple in brown...then I might be able to complete the set with my Wrinkle!!!
