Crooked Creek Pass Around Sign up

It came in yesterday but my wife was in a fairly serious accident on her way home from work last night. Not sure how much time I will have to play with this one.

I hope and pray that she is ok.

Smoke up for Sean's wife!

I hope she is ok - did not sound good in your post!

I just got done talking with Sean, and he said it would be ok to post an update. His wife`s car was hit in the rear while she was coming home from work Saturday night, by a young guy driving at a high speed. Her neck was broken in two places, she is in surgery now having titanium pins put in, and Sean says after a period of rehab she should be fine.

Wow!! Prayers for a speedy recovery!!

We had a similar issue back in 1998, and thankfully Maggie was not seriously injured - but a teenage girl ran into the back of Maggie's stopped car while the girl was doing 55 or 60 mph.

The car Maggie was in was so damaged that one of the rear wheels was not even on the ground while the car was sitting "level".

Thanks for the update, John!

Thanks for the update, John. Years ago that may have been a death sentence for her. With today's medical expertise she should be fine.
The driver that hit her on the other hand...

Thanks for the prayers guys, it means a lot. The surgery went very smoothly and she actually feels quite a bit better. She's pretty banged up but hopefully will rehab quickly.

The guy that hit her walked away unharmed. They think he may have been going about 90.

Thank God she's "ok". I hope they are charging the guy. He should be spending a little time in jail for that.

I have not yet seen the knife and now I'm extremely busy with moving the store and sport shows so please take me off the list at this time, perhaps I can participate towards the end .

The Crooked Creek has landed in the frozen cornfields of Illinois!

My first impression is that this is a very comfortable ergonomic knife with an awesome thinly ground blade.

This is the thinnest grind I have seen on a JK to date, and I have seen three or four JK knives in my time.

A few initial pictures just to get the ball rolling.

I was just thinking about this passaround the other day, yay, it's moving!

I like the look and sound of that grind, can't wait to see it get to work :)

Awesome photos, Andy.

I hope you enjoy your time with it. Mine is a pleasure to use.

Sorry about holding this up guys. With the accident (it arrived the morning of that very unfortunate day) and the holidays it all just got away from me. It's a beautiful knife with an almost sinuous feel but I will leave the real reviews up to the rest of those on the pass around list.

There is something I like to do with JK Knives.....
