Crowbar or Knife?

I didn't realize that Cold Steel has honest to goodness $300 knives. Well, maybe...

But Busse? Of course... I bet this mystery knife was something less than robust...

I can think of more than a few, but I'd love to know "the rest of the story"...

i think you could pry with INFI, but why would you want to?

the guy must have ment $300 retail, which equals about $60 wholesale...

I thought there were 7 basic machines, inclined plane, screw, pulley, lever, wedge + something else, but I guess you simplified it making 3, cool beans then I guess a wedge is actually an inclined plane.

My money says it's a used CRK folder, Umnuumzan mebbe, even as I'd hate to see a broken one.

And now everyone, a moment of silence for the lost soul who broke a beautiful knife...

I'm guessing that the "many nails" were pried on the same day(?). If you continually came across a situation where prying was needed, I would think you would've eventually bought a cheap pry bar instead.

it was a fence, and if i had anything else around me to pry with i would have used it...but i don't carry a pry bar with me (and don't plan to), and though i don't like to pry stuff with knives i will not hesitate to do so if it has to be done...

shoot, i've used that zt100 as a step once wedged in a rock crack; it can handle darn near every abusive task...

so is a screw :)

And a pulley uses,..leverage! I dig your cool jive, thanks I learned something 2day, despite being miffed, flummoxed, and downright hornswaggled by this thread!! :D

Darn, I was going to post that and then I scrolled down to see that I had been beaten to it!

So zignal_zero 3 basic machines would be Lever, Inclined Plane & Pulley?

atleast that's what they were teaching us, back when i was in the 7th grade. it's possible things have changed, since then, it was more than a couple years ago :D

I Bet it was a wh or some other thin bladed "gents" folder. But we have all done something stupid at one point or another right? I know I have and more then likely will again. The man was most likely not a knife Guy if he had to be told that said knife was of a high quality right? Most non knife people that I know... think a knife they bought from a gas station can do anything from making a samich to opening the roof of a 747. You live and you learn.

I used my BOSS Street as an emergency door-breaching tool on a solid wood door.....no breaking, bending or even chipping.

Wish I knew what kind of knife ... I really doubt it was a Busse, a Busse could take one hell of a beating.

Afetr dyas of triyng to fiugre out waht knid of kinfe it is, I hvae finllay gvien up tyring to fgirue it out. Myabe it wlil mkae as mcuh snece as my psot.
