Top tip, just dropping a gif with no explanation is a bit crude on the forum etiquette, but perhaps you don't care about that as well.

Hmm. If lightweight is the goal, I'd say you can completely eliminate the massive butt end of the handle. Saves on size too.

I bet if you blended the grind up further to make is slice better and did a paracord wrap you would have a relatively serviceable knife that barely looked like hammered shit.

No welding. Lots of drilling grinding. I don’t have all the necessary tools to make the cut outs like I wanted. Because this is far from what I originally drew up.

Well if the paracord would have actually stayed in the way I wanted it would be on there. As far as hammered “shit” nothing was hammered. Any knife that has a cutting edge and doesn’t chip, dent, crack, or break is serviceable.

I love skeletal handle knives. This one needs something. Maybe clean the tape off the handle. Radius the sharp handle edges…especially on the butt end. And Plasti Dip the handle.

Yeah does look a bit like the "shanks" I used to find often in the prison I worked in. Inmates often bust up a bed frame for a more flatter version and rub on concrete floor to make a point at least. Only big difference was curving the point of the blade to cause more tearing damage when pulling the knife out! Nice huh!!!
