I just saw it on CS website, cannot stop laughing, LT must watch "300" 300 times.:D

http://www.coldsteel.com/spfko.html

Seems like CS are becoming closer to United, funny looking knives with unmatching steel + prices.

I did like their SRK, Trail master and some of the swords, but why ain't they making more of those good knives instead of mall ninja knives.

LOL...thats too funny. Whats next? The Rambo 4 knife made by Cold Steel? But I must admit that knife looks cool...

I said it in the other thread and I'll say it here. I will most likely be getting one. I like the dropped belly. CS's handles tend to fit my hands better than anything else even if they look a little odd. The Spartan also has Demko's wave and his Tri-Ad lock, which is ridiculously strong.

Really no point in

a) Knocking a knife before it's even released.
b) Starting a thread for what seems like the sole purpose of trolling.

Also note that MSRP is almost always higher than actual street price, so my guess is it'll be 60-70 in stores. Still a bit high imo, but don't just look at MSRP (goes for all companies).

Demko's Tri-Ad lock, for those that haven't seen it.

First time actually watching a demo for it. Thanks for sharing, while we're on this subject, what makes Cold Steel's Triad lock better than the standard Lock-back?

Actually, this knife looks decent to me. The handle looks extremely comfortable.

You shouldn't have posted that, kiahs! Sharp Phil's going to throw a fit! He may even call Andrew Demko out on 'unreasonable testing' of his own knife!:p

Regards,

P.S. Those Tri-Ad locks are ridiculously strong (I know, I tested mine)!!

Better to make your point about the subject in this thread rather than try to add kindling to start bringing personalities into the topic.

I rather like the looks of it, even though it seems more based on the falcata as opposed to the earlier kopis. CS was never good about getting their history right. :D

Say what you will about Lynn Thompson, his company puts out good stuff, even though it often verges on the bizarre.

The OSI and Boar Hunter look pretty snazzy, too.

I wonder if the company chose "Kopis" because of a resemblance they or Mr. Demko saw or because "Falcata" reminds them of a perjorative in You Don't Mess With the Zohan. :D

In any case, it looks like a very nice knife.

I did the same knife show with Andrew Demko this fall and got to handle the exact knife used in the test on YouTube. Lock-up was good, and absolutely no blade play. After seeing for myself, I decided get some Rajahs to have for sale at Gun & Knife shows. Excellent piece, so I'm sure the Spartan will be as well.

kiahs,

What part of KY are you in? I regularly do shows in Lexington and the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. Stop by and we can talk sheaths - also will have some Spartans as soon as they are available.
