CT Winter Gathering

Has a place been picked yet? I'd really like to try to make it to this, even if just to hang out for an afternoon.
 
i haven't heard anything from gene, he is dealing with storm cleanup. i will try to get in contact with him...

I just spoke with Gene via private message. As you said, he is dealing with storm clean up, but he said he would look into it as soon as he could.

I believe that I have a tenative yes..the only things that have been brought up..is the parking and the amount of people. I am working on the old folks..they are kinda private and grumpy...so I am handling it with kid gloves. I am still looking for the perfect spot. The woods I know, arent huge..they have some private spots..and they are full of a variety of plants..so it wood be a good spot.
Basically, I think it will be OK, as long as everyone understands that I am gonna "yes" them to death...just to get into the woods...once into the woods...they will not have any connection to the group...its just the fact that I want to use thier yard to enter said woods.
I am looking into another longshot option as well. One thing is for sure..I am very excited about the campout..no matter where it is. Gene
 
There is now a very good chance that I will up there visiting during this time. If so, I plan to come up!
 
That would be awesome! I am looking forward to that. We should get a head count going! Should we start a "new" thread? Gene
