I just got the CU2242 as a Christmas present. This is such a cool knife! It seems to carry very well for looking like a sword.

Has anyone carried a 7 inch Max? Does it carry okay?

I really love your designs Darryl Ralph. I may save up for a year and get a custom from you.

I have two of the custom Gibbs. They carry surprisingly well. They fit most pockets, except for a couple of pair of my jeans. The pockets aren't deep enough! These are really freaking cool knives! I can't wait to get the Camillus version.

Having been one of the most insistent, I can but counsel patience at this point. One concern was that we and our CUDA MAXX 7" knives may well have taken a back seat to the needs of the guys and gals going into harm's way and I, for one, would heartily support Camillus for doing that, if true.
 
Mike, it is my understanding that, when they finally get the production run going, they plan to make but 500 of them, so you need to check with your friendly Camillus dealer to see if he or she has any of the allocation left to sell. The initial announcement was last June or July, so you are pretty late to the game. Sorry to give you that bit of bad news, but I wish you luck. It's a bit like my search for a Spydie Chinook II.

According to what Darrel told me, who got it from Camillus, now that SHOT is over and they have taken care of priority projects, the 7" should be in the works now. He was under the impression it would be no later than the Blade Show and if there were no issues, probably sooner.

That is not the official word. So, if Will would like to give the official.
 
Golly, I hope so! But I think that I will await word from Will Fennell before letting my hopes get too out of hand. It has been so long, but I can understand that they have had other priorities than a 500 unit special run. It's just that one of those 500 is supposed to be mine and I paid for it last July.
 
After reading these posts I carried my Maxx 5.5 with me today. I can only imagine what the 7 will be like!
