That's quite a pack of peanuts, Ray!

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

And that's not the whole pack Carl, it's an old photo

If I get the time I will try and post some single bladed Case peanuts I have found over the years

Need I even ask, if this is the proper credentials for entrance to this organization?

OK, Peanut from 1996 Case Swap Meet
Red Stag, single blade

1989 single bladed Peanut, promotional item, tang marked BK6120 SS
1995 single bladed Peanut, 6120 SS

Well, I finally succumbed when I found peanuts deeply discounted at a big box store. I took their last two. One I gave to a friend who converted a 4-speed Dynahub to five speeds and recently installed it on my Raleigh DL-1. The other is in my pocket. It is about time, since it was Jacknife's magnum opus that got me hooked on this forum.

You're welcome!

We need a pic Henry! :D

The only slip joint I've ever had is swiss army knife, what's the allure to the peanut? Maybe I'll give one a try if I happen to see one for sale some where.

The Peanut, or the DL-1? :D

Sorry, my photo-fu is weak since a recent hard drive failure. My backup computer is so old that Imageshack doesn't even open. It opens ok on my handheld devices, but 90% of my photos don't show up. It really cramps my style here because this forum is so photo-driven, but that's the way it is for now.

The peanut is blue jigged bone, with stainless blades. The DL-1 is black, enclosed chain guard, Miller lighting set, triple-boinger saddle, Blackburn rack, Schwalbe tires, and the almost-unique 5-speed Dynahub.

Henry, I am not the best when it comes to pics, you'll get to it eventually. Suffice it to say, welcome to the Cult.

I'm a recovering fat guy, down to 365 from approximately 405-415 last year, and looking to get a bike. My local REI guy took me to the middle of the road bikes, only $500-700 bucks. With my broken back, I'm thinking the Walmart upper end won't be my best choice.

Peanut is definitely light carry for the bike.

Two years ago yesterday this Peanut arrived and has been a nearly constant companion as my #2 in the watch pocket. A great little knife to say the least.

No pics right now, but what do you guys pair with your peanut?

My Damascus nut from Carl rides with a AAA copper Maratac, my Spec Ops wallet Jr. that is going strong after ten years, an inhaler and my medicine bundle made by my father (has my baby sister's rosary, she died of SIDS in 1989, and my mothers appaloosa's mane and tail hair, he died in 1999). A space pen from REI, my Seiko Black Monster and a cheap Dockers money clip, and I'm ready to roll. A couple lights and a blue alox Victorinox on my keychain round it out. Oh yeah, Carl, our retired Grand High Muckba, got me carrying a handkerchief. It's a cheap number from Walmart, I think it has desert camo on it. I have used it for everything except blowing my nose. I have some "culturing" :D.

Multiple pockets used btw ;)...

Well, as far as pairing up something with a peanut, I've never had much luck with that. The feisty little legume has way to much of an ego to put up with being 'paired' up, with that implying it needs help. But…I have had luck with tossing in some other items that when I explained to the mighty miter, they were there to do the dirty work, thus sparing the legendary legume, it goes along with that.

Sooo. I carry this stuff with my 'nut; my Eagle Creek wallet with an old P-38 and Sear's 4-way keychain screw driver. A bent up paper clip is used for all manner of stuff, and a few safety pins for emergency clothing/zipper repair or deep splinter removal. A cut down Eze-Lap model L diamond hone for touching up a blade. The keying that holds my Fenix E01, Vic classic, and Bison capsule with aspirin for arthritis or big vapor lock. There's one bandana in the pic, but I carry two. I view bandanas as a semi disposable rag/emergency bandage/bundle tie.

If some real work is expected, or I'm not sure what is going to happen on a day trip, the Vic classic is replaced with a small Leatherman tool. I can honestly blame Pinnah for this, as he gave me the glass of Kookaid to drink. The peanut gets pair dup with the micra or squirt for the tools, but I made it very clear to the legume that he is my go to cutting tool for when I need a sharp edge. ;)

Sometimes Remy will admit that the job may be a little too big, so he'll let the old well worn Buck 102 do the dirty work. Gutting a fish, doing some camp duty. The nut and the woodsman go well together.

But whatever you team up with the mighty little legume, you have to make sure the 'nut knows he's still the favorite for the pocket. Otherwise they can be a bit spiteful and nip the unsuspecting finger!

I said it before, I'll say it again, the peanut is like a Jack Russell. Top dog. Heard stories of them establishing dominance over Dobermans, German shepherds and pit bulls.

My "kit" is pretty simple... The Peanut and a Barlow, an 20+ yr old Leatherman Classic on my belt, an old Seiko dive watch, my "lucky" 1880 Morgan silver dollar, a small rubber change purse and wallet. In the center console of my Tahoe is a Vic Pioneer.

Hello everyone!

Have been reading bladeforums unregistered for a year or so, but now the time has come to try to be in the Club.
Here is my new... well, maybe 2 days pocket worn Peanut comparing to the previous EDC Mini Copperhead. It's a present from my wife.
I don't think 2 days is enough for understanding a knife, but sometimes it can be done. I think it's a great knife, eye-n-pocket-friendly, uncommon for our locality and very usefull for my regular tasks.
Well, am I in? :)
