Cult of the peanut , members

I have been spazzing out over the photos and testimonials on this thread. Thank you to all of you.

arizonaranchman, I love that yellow synth handle.

Hello everyone!

Have been reading bladeforums unregistered for a year or so, but now the time has come to try to be in the Club.
Here is my new... well, maybe 2 days pocket worn Peanut comparing to the previous EDC Mini Copperhead. It's a present from my wife.
I don't think 2 days is enough for understanding a knife, but sometimes it can be done. I think it's a great knife, eye-n-pocket-friendly, uncommon for our locality and very usefull for my regular tasks.
Well, am I in? :)

Welcome! Great to have you join us here. Carl or Dan will be along shortly to officially bless your new Peanut :D

Welcome to BladeForums, The Porch, and the Peanut cult thread, NeonkAaa!:)
Couple of fantastic knives in your photo!

Thanks, it's been a great little knife. That yellow delrin is a classic that goes way back to at least the 1950's from Carl's recollections.

No, two days is not enough for understanding a new knife. For something as philosophical as a peanut, a month of steady everyday use is needed. It takes a bit of time to fully realize how capable the little legume is in real world use. But you are now in The Cult, so you will become knowledgable in these matters as time goes on. Welcome, brother! Those are both very nice knives you have, and your wife has excellent taste!

Dobro pozhalovat!

I hope I haven't butchered Welcome in Russian too badly, you know how those online translation bots are.

Your wife is a great gal, hold onto her tight! Welcome to the Cult.

My dad started out with those tiny Saks, I forget the model, but it was the size of a peanut. He carried the sak for as long as I remember, around 20 years before he was gifted a baby Butterbean. I share the same sentiment for the Butterbean as he and absolutely love it. Then, he was gifted a Case peanut with scissors and for him it was the best of both worlds without the toothpick and tweezers.

Hell, the peanut must be growing on me because I have two more on the way. God help me!

Thanks!

Nope, they are both synthetic! The white one is the Sparxx Peanut with a glitter shield, and the other is actually olive drab.

Congrats on the new Peanuts, Donnie!:thumbup:

I'm usually not a huge fan of synthetic handles, especially white ones, but every time I see one of those Sparxx Peanuts, I think, "Man, that knife looks GOOD!!" :D

Thanks, GT! The Sparxx is much more beautiful than my phone camera can capture. I am looking to get a Sparxx Trapper next, since I like it so much! I am excited to see the Sparxx on a larger knife.

All of my purchased knives are synthetic or wood.

That is the next peanut I shall be acquiring. I narrowly missed out on a chestnut bone version before things got hectic. I figure I'll restart the search in the next week or two after I recover from my latest #18 impulse buy...

Has the Cult of the Peanut decided on the status of the humble Beagle?

Obligatory peanut photos -- a pair of Queens, one old and one new:

Edit: A couple more. This is actually far and away the nicest Bear & Sons I've handled. Got it for a song.

Nice Donnie! What's that gray color? Don't recall seeing that one. Are those pocket worn jigged bone?

Case does have a grey jigged bone, I've got a tiny toothpick in it and I nearly managed to pair it with a canoe on the cheap but ultimately lost out on that one. It's not in the Pocket Worn line but it is a pretty neat material and works for a more muted or formal situation than some of the louder handle colors/styles can manage. At first glance I thought Donnie's 'nut might be kin. :o

Carrying the just received, elusive, pointy-bladed, orange peel bail peanut today.

Featured alongside the $17.99 blue and amber bone peanuts (hardware store clearance/low price).
