Did someone say green bone Peanut? :D

My old trusty circle C in bluegrass bone, still going strong after almost a decade of carry. Pocket wear on the bone, both in texture and color has really progressed, can't wait to see what it is after another 10!

Love it! Beautifully worn green bone, that is. & I really like the C initial only shield. That's one of the things I don't like about Case knives is the word "Case" on the shield. Not a deal breaker, but I'm not a fan of words on knives in general.

Li'l Red is getting a lot of use over the holiday, mostly because I showed it to a friend who promptly declared it too small to be useful for anything that a knife is typically be required to do, so of course I'm determined to use it as much as possible to prove him wrong.

It hasn't even blinked at things like bags of dog food, blocks of aged cheddar cheese and sticks of pepperoni or small cardboard boxes. Tomorrow, I anticipate it may have to go up against some of those annoying plastic clamshell packages, though. Dun dun dun. :p

My kids thought a new peanut would be a nice gift to give me for Christmas. They presented me with a simple jigged brown synthetic nut with as ground blades. I LOVE this thing and the fit and finish is great. I think im hooked.

You have some great kids, TrapperMike!

Your new peanut looks great. There's just something so familiar and attractive about those brown synthetic scales.

What a great gift! I think that the brown delrin models are underrated. I have a Case medium stockman (about the size of a Buck 303 or Schrade 34ot) in brown delrin. And I absolutely love it! It's one of my favorites. I hope you get lots of joy and use out of your new peanut!

Funny story about the brown synthetic, I got one for Christmas as well.

My wife had asked for ideas for me for a Christmas present. I had been wanting my first peanut and really had my eye on the Rogers Jigged Brown Walnut bone model so I sent her a link. On Christmas night, I opened a box from my old man (a Case pen knife fanatic) and lo and behold a nice Case box waited for me. I opened it up expecting the nice bone version only to find the brown jigged synthetic. I was a little let down, but I asked if he picked it out and he replied "Yes but with your help!" Apparently he had went to the local farm & feed and bought the "brown jigged" version thinking it was the same. After we left, my wife asked if I got the right knife and I replied no. She apologized and said I could probably exchange it. She told me I should try to get the knife I really wanted when I told her I wasn't going to do that. She understood when I explained that I was going to keep that knife my dad gave me rather it was the one I wanted or not. I was quickly drawn to the as ground blades, and the knife may not be quite the looker that the new walnut bone knives are but it's still a great looking knife.

The best part though, the conversation ended with the wife asking "Well is that still a knife you would want later on?" :D

I really have enjoyed it. It does so much for a little knife.

My newest nut in pocket worn bermuda green bone. After seeing AlwaysTomboy's green peanut, I sort of had to have one in green. [emoji4]

Nice Greenut, Alex. I've carried mine for most of the past year. Shown here with a frequent companion:

Thanks! I like your nut, too! In fact, the dye job on yours is much better. No two are alike. I'm not too picky, though, because all of my knives are users.

Alex and John, those are nice green peanuts you have. I am a bit partial toward the pocketworn bermuda green peanut. My first Case knife was one I bought used. Even though it's stainless, it has some sort of patina stain on the main blade which makes me like it even more. :D Sorry I don't have a better picture of it handy, but here it is with a scrimshawed Rough Rider.

Ooo, I like the color variation and contrast on that one. The color on mine is very uniform and flat and, well, synthetic.

Christmas is over but I'm still running around with this red and green pair. Hmmm, not sure where Li'l Red got that black splotch on his blade. Was glad to have it Christmas Day when my 7 and 8 year old nephews needed help opening boxes. Their nervous nelly of a mom didn't even blink. I'm not sure she even noticed it. :D

Haven't had his green sibling in pocket yet but Li'l Green will get his turn eventually. :)

And both peanuts together so Li' Green doesn't get jealous. :p

...
Great gift, TMike! Did your kids monogram the blade for you, too?

Since everyone was bragging on their brown delrin peanuts, I thought I'd post a photo of mine. First Case pocket knife I ever had, and I won it here at BF in the first GAW (thanks, Cory) I was eligible to enter (first time I ever won a "raffle" in my life, too)! :D As everyone has been testifying, it's a great knife!

I thought it proper to engrave my initials on it since I will always keep it. I engraved the date on the other side incase I ever got forgetful. They are still pretty young and thought it was cool that I engraved it. Thats a nice brown peanut you have also.
