My old trusty circle C in bluegrass bone, still going strong after almost a decade of carry. Pocket wear on the bone, both in texture and color has really progressed, can't wait to see what it is after another 10!
My kids thought a new peanut would be a nice gift to give me for Christmas. They presented me with a simple jigged brown synthetic nut with as ground blades. I LOVE this thing and the fit and finish is great. I think im hooked.![]()

I really have enjoyed it. It does so much for a little knife. What a great gift! I think that the brown delrin models are underrated. I have a Case medium stockman (about the size of a Buck 303 or Schrade 34ot) in brown delrin. And I absolutely love it! It's one of my favorites. I hope you get lots of joy and use out of your new peanut!

They are great. I do like the way the brown looks. You have some great kids, TrapperMike!
Your new peanut looks great. There's just something so familiar and attractive about those brown synthetic scales.
Thats a good story. And possibly another nut in the near future.[emoji12]Funny story about the brown synthetic, I got one for Christmas as well.
My wife had asked for ideas for me for a Christmas present. I had been wanting my first peanut and really had my eye on the Rogers Jigged Brown Walnut bone model so I sent her a link. On Christmas night, I opened a box from my old man (a Case pen knife fanatic) and lo and behold a nice Case box waited for me. I opened it up expecting the nice bone version only to find the brown jigged synthetic. I was a little let down, but I asked if he picked it out and he replied "Yes but with your help!" Apparently he had went to the local farm & feed and bought the "brown jigged" version thinking it was the same. After we left, my wife asked if I got the right knife and I replied no. She apologized and said I could probably exchange it. She told me I should try to get the knife I really wanted when I told her I wasn't going to do that. She understood when I explained that I was going to keep that knife my dad gave me rather it was the one I wanted or not. I was quickly drawn to the as ground blades, and the knife may not be quite the looker that the new walnut bone knives are but it's still a great looking knife.
The best part though, the conversation ended with the wife asking "Well is that still a knife you would want later on?"![]()
Great gift, TMike! Did your kids monogram the blade for you, too?My kids thought a new peanut would be a nice gift to give me for Christmas. I thought it proper to engrave my initials on it since I will always keep it. I engraved the date on the other side incase I ever got forgetful. They are still pretty young and thought it was cool that I engraved it. Thats a nice brown peanut you have also.Great gift, TMike! [emoji106] Did your kids monogram the blade for you, too?
Since everyone was bragging on their brown delrin peanuts, I thought I'd post a photo of mine. First Case pocket knife I ever had, and I won it here at BF in the first GAW (thanks, Cory) I was eligible to enter (first time I ever won a "raffle" in my life, too)!As everyone has been testifying, it's a great knife!
