Cult of the peanut , members

I didn't intend to jump on the Peanut bandwagon, but it seems I have. I really just wanted a red knife because I'm in a Christmassy mood and I have several green knives but no red ones other than Swiss Army Knives, but they don't really count and who am I kidding? I just wanted an excuse to try out one of these little guys and lack of red bone knives seemed as good a reason as any. :D Enter this little red CV peanut.

While I was looking at red Peanuts, though, I spotted a green one and I'm a sucker for a green knife, so now I have Li'l Red's SS green cousin, too. :o

Li'l Red sliced some pickles for a sandwich this evening and is already getting some color.

Very nice peanut knives AlwaysTomboy; both the green and the red one!

One don't need no reason to get another knife, especially a traditional pocket knife. :D

Oh man, Tomboy, this may be the straw that breaks my back. I've been going back and forth on choosing between a chestnut CV or a red bone CV as the next peanut I get. I think your beauty has made my decision. It looks fantastic! Love the slip for it too.

AlwaysTomboy, great looking peanuts you have there! [emoji106] I have the same red one you do, but oh that green one is suddenly calling my name! I might have to look into getting one.

Jeff R, thanks for the kind words & encouragement. *tips hat*

aaroneous, the lighting is bad in here and it's not quite as tomatoey red as it looks in the photos. It's darker red in the center and not as orangey on the ends. I was worried the ends would be too light and it would be more towards the pink end of the color wheel, but it's not at all. It's most definitely red. I'll see if I can get more accurate photos tomorrow.

FelineGirl, dooooo eeeet. :D It's a bit thicker than the bone and feels good in hand, plus it's a lovely shade of green.

I had originally planned to carry my peanut during the week because it disappears in the pocket, but I found it with me all weekend too. It turns out that 95% of my cutting needs are easily handled by the peanut. It needs a fresh edge.

I'm new to carrying a peanut; your comments are echoed by many peanut aficionados. That's very encouraging. :)

Cheers,
Jeff

Ok, so after a few days of carrying the peanut I understand why lots of folks are enamored of it. It really is an easily carried, very capable knife. I like it! :)
