Here's hoping for a CV version.

Cool beans, I mean peanuts! That's a beautiful pair of 'nuts you have there, brother. (I'd like to see them in CV too)!

Not that i want to influence anybody ( har har ) but the RR Peanut is good VFM and neat as anything, just look below.

So you haven't pulled the trigger on the RR then GT ?

Go for it you know you want to :D

I definitely WANT to, but I hesitate over do I NEED to.:D I have a perfectly serviceable Case Peanut I carry every day, you know.
I've been deliberating over whether to get a RR amber jigged bone peanut, or a tortoise shell one. OMR's photos of his amber jigged bone are tipping the scales that direction, and most of my dozen or so Rough Riders are amber bone, so a peanut like that would fit right in. (Why are the British suddenly conspiring to entice me to buy a RR peanut???)

Wait a minute, what a minute!

Since when does need ever into a knife buying discussion? That sounds like almost a sacrilegious idea!

Thanks for the assist jackknife, i would probably have waffled on about the Sino-British trade deficit, whatever the heck that is. The simple truth is we all buy knives we do not need because we can not help ourselves, so GT you go ahead and add to your amber bone collection, you know it makes sense..

You ol' justifier. Keep doing this and we'll all lose weight! Knife aquisition vs. Maltutrition, well...

Gentlebeings, I need to clean up my single blade damascus nut. The carbon steel damascus does not take kindly to Maryland humidity. Any ideas?

I'd try a pencil eraser first, gently. Then move to 0000 steel wool with a little oil. Mineral, 3-in-1, Hoppies gun oil. no matter. Finish up with soft rag.

Thankee sai.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I have posted a giveaway for a yeller CV peanut, open to any members outside the USA. They might have a little more of a hassle than USA residents do. Just post a picture of your homeland, preferably a vista, with a knife if possible. Rules etc are in the post in Traditional.

I hear what you're saying Carl, and I've been wearing my asbestos underwear just in case folks around here get a notion to take a heretic like me and burn me at the stake!

That economic mumbo-jumbo cracked me up, OMR! :D:D
The RR amber bone Peanut will be with us always, but I've got a line on a NOS RR stag canoe; I wanna snag some stag!

"Snag some stag", now you have me a hankerin you rascal you.

I guess I'm applying for membership in the cult.

Although I'm a big fan of traditionals, I simply can't get past the utility of modern folders. Because of that, I went back to carrying my Spydercos last year. Then, right after Christmas, I saw this stag handled Case Peanut that I couldn't pass up. I'm not a stag fan--the gnarly stuff does nothing for me--but the little Peanut was smooth stag and it looked Right (to me anyway). At first the Peanut augmented a Spyderco Dragonfly as my small folder. Eventually, it displaced the DF completely. I still carry a mid-sized modern folder for those times when a small knife won't do but those times are few and far between these days. The little StagNut does the trick most of the time. I've been carrying it every day for over six months now.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures to share.
