I have a hard time buying until I can actually see the knife. I really hate selling (i have, but it just feels painful) so I try to be 100% before purchasing... that's said, as soon as the 5.1 presale went up I jumped...I have a feeling I am going to end up with a few more of these bad boys as they become available, It will be fun to have a new vs old death match for usage...

That's what got me! The handle shape and size on the 4.7 sold me and the new revision on the 3.5 was a no brainer because I'm pretty sure it'll see the most use and carry time. The 8 just screams awesomeness but it'll most likely be more of a novelty item for me until I train or force myself to use a big knife for every task. Living in the city has major downfalls because there really isn't a damn thing to chop down around here!

Good thinking! I forgot about that change along the way. But you're right the 4.1 would have been third which makes more sense. Back in my day it seemed like social media only cared about the 5.1, 4.1 and 10. I felt like such a rebel being a fan of the 5. Maybe the newness of the 4.7 bumped it up to second place in the starter offerings with the 4.1 being third. I know the 4.7 will change my life and make me a better person, but I can't wait to see what the 4.1 is all about.

Tough to wait for all seven knives I ordered but it will feel like Christmas several times throughout the year when I will eventually get them. :)

Right on. The receiving of gifts will be spread throughout the year! You should have enough time to play with and get to know each knife before the next arrives.
 
So it hasn't changed as of the last time I checked but today is the day for ordering your 7/7 you better get on the ball if you still want one.
 
Long time nothing heard or seen of the GSO 2.7. Very curious how how it will look like in real life. No computer pics :)

Probably next... We did need to order more steel for those, which won't arrive until mid to late February. If the GSO-7/7 blanks get finished on the waterjet and there ends up being some time to spare, the GSO-12s may get bumped ahead.
 
Just kidding. Here is the updated update regarding the 3.5.

GSO-3.5: Additional sheets of steel are scheduled to arrive at the end of February. Cutting will begin at that time.

haha no worries! The wife is crazy patient, I could learn a thing or two from her. Plus she isn't as keen as I am on winter camping hah

So, I think I asked this question before but didn't really understand the answer. I wonder how many 5.1s were pre ordered vs. The other models.
