current production schedule updates.

I need an 8...... I need an 8.... I need an 8........ I need a compact chopper that can also be used for all camp tasks that won't be left at home because it's too big....... I need an 8...........

8 is your lucky number!

I would order an 8 right now, if it wasn't for that ugly waist of space between the handle and usable blade! Haha

Haha! My thoughts too ;)

I still really want one at some point, but if there was no choil it would have been ordered already.

Also, I can't take my eyes off that frog's eyes.......

those damn frog eyes... damn it

Wow this hypnotizing stuff really works!!
This is what helped me seal the deal on which big knife to choose.

I'm not a choil person, but it came in handy on my old-spec GSO 10 so I'm thinking it will be that much better in a slightly smaller and lighter version. Im thinking that the 3.5 and 8 will pair together well for longer trips and the 4.7 will be the go-to day trip knife.

Well if the man himself called it. :D It must be so!

Yep! I had my eye on the 7/7 but can't talk myself into it because I already have the 6. It'll be interesting to see a side by side review of the 7/7 and 8 considering they're pretty close in size and have the same features.

Aw man... I just got a crummy ole 7/7 coming. Want an 8 now...

Haha my bad! I think he only said that because I was indecisive between the 8 and 10. I really want to figure out a way to justify having all of them but I don't get out enough to do so.

The choil makes sense for the GSO 8.
It helps to make it an all around large knife rather than only a chopper.
I like that concept

The only real change is with the 4.7 getting closer

Necker II: Stay tuned for availability updates
GSO-5.1: Preorders will be shipping out over the next few weeks
GSO-4.7: Just waiting on handles to be completed. Preorders are scheduled to begin shipping after Christmas
GSO-2.7: At production grinding
GSO-4.1: Sheets of steel are being cut into blades

I'll have to keep a close eye on the website. I've gone from wanting a Necker 2 to wanting a 2.7 instead for a backup. One of those leather pocket sheaths or a custom kydex pocket sized sheath with a flashlight pocket would be awesome.

Nothing epic yet, but some change in wording. Things are moving along.

Here is the current SURVIVE! production schedule:

Necker II: Stay tuned for availability updates
GSO-5.1: Preorders are shipping out and regular ordering will start in January
GSO-4.7: Just waiting on handles to be completed. Preorders are scheduled to begin shipping any day now
GSO-2.7: At production grinding
GSO-4.1: Blanks are getting cut and machined to size
