I actually don't know what to call it, but it's big, it's thick, and it chops pretty sweet.

Hadn't done final buff on the blade grinds nor picked out the ricasso entirely as of those photos.

that is a beast! what is the blade length, and the weight? those photos make me anxious for my order next month.

8 inches, plus a bit for the ricasso area.

For me it's a particularly big beast- 18 ounces. I left the tang full width for balance, and it's pretty good. chops really well.

Speaking of which, I need to start posting some of my testing pics. People don't really seem to think about heavy use on my thinner blades sometimes. but they all get tossed into stumps and batoned.

i got a pic or two of my bushcrafter doing some against the grain battoning, so if you want that, i can send a link.

Whoa, that is a beast, I especially like the crude looking jimping on the spine. Whats the wood on it?

i just noticed the handle shape, it looks very comfortable.

it's very similar to the handle I did on the first longknife. This time the cirves are a bit more comfortable for chopping and the tang extension for the lanyard hole has a bit more handle coverage.

I like the thinner bowie styled camp choppers for pure camp/wilderness chopping, but this thing goes right through 10-11 ounce leather, 1/2 inch of closed cell foam, and into a tree.

How's Dirk Diggler for a name?;)

Very cool blade. I hope the owner puts it through its paces. It looks like it could take anything you threw at it and come back for more.

That particular knife is the one I go ga-ga over that you have there BarberFobic1992, which model is that? I love that one!

Happy Birthday! we really need to talk, I really like your work and reading your stuff we have a few things in common bro ;)

Have a great day!

that's the model 1, aka the leuku pattern bushcrafter. pick a length from about 4.5 to 6 inches. :D

Dantor- where in oregon are you? we've thought about moving off and on....

That is beautiful knife ,I really like it .The guy who gets it is very lucky and I hope that he will appreciate your work,HEY WAIT A MINUTE ,I AM THAT GUY:D:D:D AND I REALLY LIKE IT,IT IS EVEN NICER THAN I EXPECTED.SIR ,YOU REALLY DID A NICE JOB,I CAN'T WAIT TO GET IT.THANK YOU SIR.

The sheath gets to be a surprise :D

It sure cuts, and the differential temper was a bit tricky with the back edge, but I think it came out well- at least, I can throw it at a log all day and it's fine :)
