custom bushbeater for a bf member

speaking of which, I need to start posting some of my testing pics. People don't really seem to think about heavy use on my thinner blades sometimes. but they all get tossed into stumps and batoned.[/QUOTE]

Christof, I just got my bushcrafter from you today. In the email I just sent you, that was my main point. This knife has a 4.5 inch blade and comfortably small for me handle, yet it has a remarkably solid feel to it. Much stouter feeling than some of my similarly sized knives, even though its blade is probably thinner than any its size in my collection. I'm going to use it heavily and will get some pictures myself. Thanks again!

That is a thick blade!!!!.......

Christof, are you off your meds again, bro?

Looks sweet.... the only thing I would change is who it went to.... hint hint. No offense, csabacanada! You lucky SOB!!

Now ,I have to get two more in L6 -a 6'' camper and 3.5'' NECKER BOTH 1/8'' and I'll be ready for the dooms day .This one will be called,,The brutus'':D
I really wanted a thicker and heavier blade and this one looks just perfect.
Lately I did a lots of field tests Sir you were wright ,1/8'' thick ,with good steel and geometry does everything you need in the field .Convex edge helps a lot.:D
But it still feels good to have something like BRUTUS if Bigfoot is after you.
I love the handle ,it looks very comfortable and I can't wait to try it out.
ALL THE BEST

With a full enough convex, the thicker blades work out. It's a bit big for a bushcrafter type anyhow, definitely a yeti knife :D The handle is pretty nice, I tried it out in gloves, too. Easy to hang onto.

The 6 inch blade in 1/8 inch should do a lot, some of my leuku pattern bushcrafters go 5.5 to 6 inches and hold up well. I've been mostly making those little drop nose neckers, but something a bit bigger like that small skinner on the recent thread would do really well as a neck knife.

I found that in the bush I mostly use something around 6'' for camp work and something around 3'' for finer work.I LOVE BIG BLADES BUT I ALMOST NEVER USE THEM ,I AM AN AXE GUY.

I saw somewhere a little nesmuk you did and I like it a lot.Something like that or one of your leuku pattern in 6'' and ready to goooo.

Nice! I would use that for hunting pigs! Looks like it would be awesome for that.

Great as usual Christof!

Very nice Christof. I really like the decarb you left on there!

I used the knife in the bush for a serious and hard work and it held up really well.It chops like a champ ,the edge is a bit on the thick side but because the convex grind it cuts well.I stab it many times in hard wood and pried it side ways NO DAMAGE TO THE TIP.:thumbup::thumbup: it is very strong.
The handle is the best I ever had in a custom knife. It fits my hand perfectly .It is very comfortable ,even after a long period of chopping .The sheath is as usual very nice ,the Koyote girl made a good job.I am looking forward to get some more customs from Koyote.:D:D:D

Excellent! thanks for pushing it. I'm always nervous but it's the goal of the making, to have the knife Do Stuff.

I Thank You.i Really Love It.it Pierces Like My Thin Knives But Still Has A Very Strong Tip.i Tried To Bend It .it Issss Strong.very Well Balanced .i Can't Wait To Bring It To On Extended Trip.thank You Sir.
