This thread has slacked off the last month, and I KNOW I've seen some new stuff in the "fixed blades" section!

There's been quite a few awesome Japanese-inspired pieces on the board lately. I'd like to see them kind of corralled in this thread, as well as their own respective threads. Lots of beautiful work to get the gears turning here in this one spot.

So, hopefully to resurrect the thread, here are some of my own explorations in that direction from the last several months:

A chubby kwaiken with a lot of power hammer texture. This one has seen a lot of time in the woods of Georgia since it was bought at the Blade Show.

A pair forged from identical starting stock, which I dubbed Abbott and Costello.

My donation piece for Knife Rights, which got professional photography.

This one went to Finland, where it is being used for such varied tasks as cleaning trout and splitting small firewood.

And this one went to Nebraska, where it is being used to chop up old couches and 2x4s.

All right, guys, let's see some more of y'all's!

this is the thread that inspired me to make these three since seeing it last march. thank you to everyone that posted their work !

This is my knife lust thread  Beautiful work on these pages. Skills displayed that inspire humility in me - not as a knife maker, certainly not me - but as a craftsman (me - a woodworker). It is good to bow to and celebrate the abilities of others. Thanks all.
