Who knows what it is. I am too lame to come up with cool names for knives. Makes it fun when someone comes up and asks if I can make another Camp Knife like the one they saw at a show two years ago I was think I'll call this an Oregon Machete. We don't have a lot of jungle vines out here but we do a lot of limbing and such which a heavier blade is better suited for. I am happy with the way this blade feels. I think it will work fine for light vegetation too as it is not overly heavy. This one was biting quite deep into my test 4X4 in the shop. The handle shape worked great for me in that the handle did not move in my grip. No pinkie bite either

1/8 1080. convex grind and differential temper, 17.25 on the blade and a hair under 25 inches OAL.

Blade is 1 9/16 at the ricasso, 2 inches at the widest.

scales are brass colored burlap phenolic from fod (shadetree phenolics)

Fantastic looking blade. For some reason, with it's shape and finish, it reminds me of a Brook Trout. A very large one.:thumbup:
