My wife commented that even though the machete looks huge in this picture, that Rick's teeny weeny hands make it look bigger than it actually is

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. Ether that is a sword or Rick has a GI Joe action figure arm

The handle is 9"... I swear.

Besides, my palms are big... I just have sausage fingers. They make EVERYTHING look bigger... the same way the Metric System makes everthing SOUND bigger.

Alright.... after working on it a little more I'm saying screw it.... I gotta put this mutha into the mix. I did some edge testing after the heat treat and I'm really happy. The handle is nowhere near finished but you get the idea.

Mine is epoxied up and getting closer to finishing

Mine....has no photos.

But it's profiled well, getting the convex primary grind done and will get drilled in the tang and heat treated as weather allows this week. (wer'e in for 10 inches of rain)

And here it is all done. It is covered in oily smudges right now and my photo skills suck but here it is Really mine is more Golok/Bolo than true machete but it does extend past the 12in blade minimum
