Looks good dude...I'm still digging those scales...what material did you use?
Well, the idea behind the scandi grind (which the Pathfinder knives and Mora knives share) is you just lay that edge flat on the sharpening surface and go. Some people can make it work...I can't. I suck at sharpening my Moras...hence I quit using Moras.
Moras are sick! Scandi sharpening isnt to hard, but if you find that hard I dont think you'll like convex edges cos you gotta get the perfect angle where its on the strop but not so much where it'll start to blunt them. How much have you practiced sharpening the mora?
Quite a bit. I prefer my Beckers. Running them through the Worksharp and finishing on the diamond block makes them scary sharp. Moras have limited use IMO. It's not like you can chop or baton with them. I got that sweet kydex made for my 511s, but I don't use them. Thats why I took the firesteel loop off and put it on my MkI sheath.
Hey Cam,
Again, a very pretty knife. And the "baton notch" clip point is actually a nice feature.

The tiger stripe G10 looks great on both of those. One of these days, I'll have to pick up a 2 and pin some scales to it. I'm not willing to do that with my 10, at this point.![]()
I LOVE IT!!! Let's trade I have a house, XTerra,Guns a hot wife? Im willing to make a package deal!!!!
This is an epic mod; I love it. Dude it must have been A LOT of work!!

I was thinking to myself that it looked like a Habilis Bushtool. Glad to see I wasn't alone in that. Overall, the quality of the mod is stellar, everything that was done looks to be very nicely executed. I especially like the handle slab work. Overall though I think it is not for me, the ground out portions and "firesteel" notch especially don't do much for me. Again though, it is incredibly well done, and I like to see people trying things outside the box to truly make them their own.
Good looking work. I like the warnclif/sheepsfoot blade. I haven't attempted any major reconstruction/reprofiling on any of my Beckers yet, but some of you produce such fine work that I got the bug to attempt it. My skills in this area are untested as of yet, and I really dont want to ruin a good knife...lol. Beautiful Work on the handle as well.
