Custom Shop 110

What is the difference in Heritage walnut and regular walnut? I am thinking about one with oak scales. Just to tide me over until I can get one with Elk scales of course.

"Heritage" sounds cooler. ;)

Actually I think it is darker. Look at it beside the Walnut used for the Wyatt Earp 110.

Both are "walnut".

Awesome koa Topol...I really like the brass too. Five-0 was telling me I should get brass w/ koa. The more I see it, the more I'm thinking about it.

Buckaholic, it's actually NS bolsters. Here's a pic under natural instead of artifical light. ;)

Darn, darn, darn...guess I should've paid more attention to your text as opposed to just drooling over the pic.
Well...I guess I still need to think about the Koa/brass combo.

Speaking of pics...that last pic really brings out the wood!!!!!!
My goodness!!!

Your wood and BCCL's rock when compared to mine...

FYI

The Earp & Hickock LE's handle material is Oak not walnut. as you can see it's much lighter than the walnut in BCCL's photo's.

I stand corrected, I assumed it was walnut. Good now I know how good there walnut will look when I order one on a custom! :D

If you decide to use it....we want a pic of it's first cut!!! Kind of like a photo of your kid and their first step ;)

Here you go, it took it's first steps tonight on a Sirloin!

Got a laugh from a pretty waitress and some odd looks from a table full of old ladies, but that BG-42 blade is a sweet slicer! :D

If those old ladies read this here forum...they would have understood just how important the photo was!!! instead of cackling like a bunch of old hen's...LOL.

Thanks for the great photo BCCL

BCCL,
Nice photo, nice sirloin, beautiful knife.....but how come there's no sour cream and chives on that potato?

Well....how did it slice?

Went through it like butter, I had to actually slow down to keep from going through the steak and hitting the edge on the plate to hard.

One lady did smile and say that "that's a little odd", but she laughed when I told her, "Ma'am where I'm gonna put this picture, this will be considered completely normal". :D
