Custom Slipjoints

Looks like an ad for Levitra! ;)

A few more Ray Covers in the "Levitra" pose.

Rob, I really LIKE that black file worked one. Nice pose of Covers there. A cold snap is headed this way, I may need some more covers.

Terry Davis Saddlehorn. One of the top makers for sure, Terry makes sole authorship knives. Jigs and dyes his own bone, grinds and tempers and everything else! His F & F is exquisite. The knives have just the right snap. He does sunk or semi-sunk joints; the list goes on. His styling pleases the eye from every angle. He's not much into eye candy; filework and the like. But if you appreciate sculpture, and pure form, he's your man. Last I heard, he's not taking orders. He's usually at the Oregon show.

That Hanson is one beautiful knife. If that's the one that was sold on line no too long ago I was real close to pulling the trigger. Congrats on that one Jim!

VCM3, that's gotta be the nicest Stag Cover I've seen for a while, should've kept it I reckon:grumpy:

Just thought I'd tack this Ray Cover, Sr. wharncliffe in here also, even though it was in another recent thread.

Thanks again Darwin. :)

Terrific knives you folks are showing here lately.

Wow Vince! Id give my .... well never mind .....

Nice knives!

Maybe stupid question - do they ever put bottle opener in such knives? I would love to have something like this (but with beer bottle opener :-))

I haven't seen any custom makers fashioning bottle openers on their knives (unless it was a scout pattern or the like) but I suppose if you paid the right maker he might consider it.

My suggestion would be that if you have the money for a custom folder as fine as that Erickson, I'd spend a few extra cents and put an opener on my keyring.

Very nice looking knife! I like the file work on this one ! I think a bit more understated then some.
