Custom Slipjoints

Jim I'm proud you have the knife and excited about it. I would be also.. Rick is showing a lot of promise in his slipjoint making. IMHO there are several things that are aesthetically wrong that if corrected would make this a great knife. I won't spell them out here because they are just my opinion. Congrats on your purchase...

Thanks Vince, I love the "Old Bone" on this one, Rick surprised me with it, he is making me another with different scales. But he had to build 3 to get to this one, one he felt he could sell. I have compared it to the Tony Peanut I own and it is dead on. Funny how some makers can just nail it, I personally think he did it on this one. I am not just proud of the purchase, but proud of the knife.

Nice event, to bring back the thread Vince! A quality double score!!
Congrats to the makers and the receiver!!

Here's one I got from Rick a short while back. It's a shadow swayback jack inspired by the T. Bose swayback pattern.

Black linen micarta, 154cm blade steel, 3 & 5/8" closed, balanced swedgework, perfect blade centering, interior liners jeweled, back spring flush in all positions, and the back spring and liners look like one piece of steel.

This knife feels great in the hand. Thanks Rick.
