Custom Slipjoints

Cool beans Gus. Looking forward to seeing more of your favorites.

Guess who finally got off a dime and picked up a camera

Did Earth take a direct hit from a comet or asteroid ? Did someone push up the date on the Mayan Long Count calendar ?

Next thing you know. . . .he'll purchase a cell phone (only a disposable one with like four minutes on it) or a car that has floor boards (no more foot power like Fred Flintstone). :D

LOL, I hope I die without a cell phone and da Buick stays 'till the wheels come off" so I can afford knives. ;)

"...more...more...more...more...more...more..."

C'mon, Gus. Post 'em up. :D

That Ron Newton Gunstock - what's the treatment on the springs? Are they gold plated, or ? I assume the scales are ram's horn; up to now,I haven't found that stuff appealing, but those look really nice.

thx - cpr

Having Gus take pictures of his collection is like having a vault opened up at the Smithsonian.

They are all very nice treasures. I liked seeing Mike's first two-blade swayback.

Ron's knife is in Black lip with gold plated liners and springs.

Might as well join the party. Here are a few from the recent Santa Barbara show.
From Joe Kious: (3 1/2", Remington Bone)

And Joel Chamblin: (3 1/4", beautiful mammoth ivory)

Not a bad show :D. I also got a few more modern ones from Thad Buchanan, Phil Boguszewski, and Kansei Matsuno.

Great Stuff, Folks! Thanks for sharing & please keep 'em coming!
Gots my popcorn...bring 'em on, let's have a looksee!

Looks like Santa was good to Ray in the springtime.

Beautiful choices.

Congratulations to All. Fine knives........

The wallet is sure a nice one also, looks kinda flat Kat...... Mine is.... :(

Been playing with my camera today, just trying to learn how to take better pics. This is the Richard Rogers sowbelly that Blues let me pick when he won the drawing chance. Thanks Elliott. I have a lot of Richards knives, but this one is extra special.

Couldn't have gone to a better friend! (And I was very happy to be able to do so.):thumbup:

Beautiful folder Gus, and real nice pics of the scales...not easy to capture those colors in the pearls. Thanks for sharing.

I've been angling more and more toward knives in the 3" - 3 1/4" range lately. Here's my latest from Ryuichi Kawamura. Photo and knife courtesy of Gary Levine at levineknives.com. Check him out...

Two ATS-34 blades 2 1/4" and 1 1/2", closed 3 1/4" SS bolsters and shield, Old Remington bone scales. It's a good pic, but not half as beautiful as the real thing. Top shelf f&f. And don't cha know I love a wharny.

Mike
