Custom Tactical Folders?

I don't know if I agree that if I make a tactical folder and choose a certain material that suddenly it isn't what I wanted to make. Sounds like thats more of someone's guidelines for how they classify blades. There really arn't any written rules on classification. If I make a tactical knife and decide to use some damascus steel I have laying around I can't imagine someone coming along and being like NO thats not a tactical knife because of your steel choice!

I am usually into Art Folders but ere are a few from my collection of Joel Pirella
designs, a master designer collaborating here with two of the best out there -
Brian Tighe and Greg Lightfoot.

I created these two illustrations for the article on Pirela
in my next big book on modern custom knives, "The World of Art Knives II"...

I think I'd have to agree with Les on this one. IMO there's no place for embellishment and dressy materials on a tactical folder. Kind of makes the term 'tactical' entirely nonsensical. I have heard the term presentation tactical folder used though. I dunno, its all gotten very messy. That said, here are my favourites:

It's great to have Les' point of view on this. I love folders with a tactical look and it's nice to have the definition more pinned down.
