A dye job on my PM2 and Minimalist

What dye did ya use? Link would be helpful. Thinking of similar project with my crkt minimalist

Stripped my kabar and grounded down gaurd. with Dremel cut off wheel and sanding wheel. Very popular mod I believe.

Looks great. I need to try and make some handles soon ...... First I got to get a very cheap knife so I don't ruin I nicer knife.

A couple Kershaw Shuffles and a Boker Kwaiken I did. The CF on the Kwaiken is really hard to photograph.

Took this scrap point off an old boning knife and I'm attempting to make "something" out of it. It looks so good in my mind.

Thanks guys! The shuffles are all in kirinite except for the one on the right of the top picture which is Shockwood. The kirinite is really easy to work with.

Nice job on the top one. Looking forward to the finished product on the lower one.

James,

It was mostly all dremel work with the "workstation" drill press they make. The shuffles have nested liners so I used a routing bit to carve out the pockets and counterbore the screw holes. Then just sanding drums to shape. The carbon fiber was too tough to work with the dremel routing bits, so I ended up drilling straight through it with regular bits and then added g10 liners so I didn't have to counter bore the cf. Not the most sophisticated set up but it worked.

Thx for the info they look so great. I need to try that some time.

Heat anodized my crkt Jettison and replaced the rough aluminum backspacer with a custom one. Hand layed and vacuum infused the carbon with epoxy and gel coated one side.

The original spacer was .12mm too thin causing the handle scales to pinch slightly. This new spacer fixed that and did more to smooth out the action than a week of flipping.

Dont know if its worth taking a picture, but i just used a small carbide burr and slightly ground the wave on my mini roadhouse now it opens beers like a champ.
BBQ season is nearly upon us.

^^^^^Looks good!^^^^^

My latest Mini-grip scales...

Still require countersinking the screw holes and shaping to the final dimension. Getting close though...

(Pinstripes look green, but they are actually a pale yellow)

Nice man y'all put my wooded handles to shame that I made I'm no longer proud of them ;)
