Cutting blade blanks

I am getting on this thread rather late, but I use a 8" serated contact wheel with worn out 36 grit belts that are not useful for anything else. I can profile a blade very quickly. In fact, I think I can do it faster than a band saw. I have two metal cutting bandsaws but I feel the worn 36 grit belts are the way to go. I use Norton blaze, and they seem to last forever in grinding profiles. You save $ because the belts aren't good for anything else.

Thanks tom. That was my main question was basically bandsaw vs contact wheel. I've seen it done both ways just wasn't sure what was more efficient.
