D.P. Knives Wilderness Pass Around

Hello all,

I have had the pleasure of using a few great custom knives, and I wanted to share 1 with you guys.

The D.P. Knives Wilderness
• Full tang
• 1/8th inch of 1095
• Blade length 3 3/8th inches
• Over all 8”
• Full taper Grind
• Bocote handles buffed with white rogue

This is 1 of 6 knives I have owned from this maker, and I really like it. I took it to the W.L.C. and had it out for all to use.
It’s handled everything really well from notching, batoning ironwood, making fuzz sticks, etc.

Now its time for 10 of you to play with it.

Here are the rules:

1. You must promise to ship the D.P. Wilderness knife after 3 days of usage. Shipping must be USPS insured for 100.00 and sent Priority to the next person on the list, plus, you must use "delivery confirmation" when you send.
2. You must take at least one pic and post it in the passaround thread with your impressions of the knife.
3. Do not abuse this knife and try to pry with it, or chop heavy wood with it. batoning is acceptable, but be reasonable.
4. You must have at least 200 posts to be included, or, if I know you personally, I reserve the right to include you if you have less.
5. I'd prefer paid members, unless I know you are a regular here.

*We reserve the right to not include you in the passaround if for any reason we are not sure of your intentions, etc.*
*CONUS ONLY. Sorry guys, but we are going to keep this in the lower 48* Also, if you initially agree to the conditions above but fail to fulfill any of them, you will not be eligible for any more passarounds.

Boy Tony the way they were signing up for the give away I figure more would like to try this knife. Doug.
 
Yeah I know, Is it something in the rules, or they just don't want to spend the 6 bucks to send it on. Maybe they're scared they'll like it so much that they won't be able to send it on.;)
 
I would sign up, but being back in kollege I don't even get to use my own knives very much. Wouldn't be much fun for me to look at it for three days.
 
Well if you change your mind, there's room. You don't actually have to use it while camping. You can mess with it in your dorm, or anywhere outside. Take a pic, and give your oppinion of it. What you like, what you don't like, etc.

I am glad your learning alot in "Kollege";):D

Bet you can spell keg party, or panty raid correctly:D
 
Hey Tony, I came to sign up but you beat me to it.

Only reason I didn't do it earlier was I was ni the middle of the Magnum passaround and didn't want to take advantage of your hospitality.

Looking forward to seeing Doug and Jeffs work.

Here are pictures of the actual pass around knife after less then 5 minutes of cleaning with METAL GLO cleaning polish this is all I did to it after a week of hard use. Don't miss out Tony is being very generous by doing this pass around with one of his new personal favorites. Doug
 
Even with the few guys we have so far, I am sur it will look like this in no time:D
