I have seen to many Glock fail. Two have blown apart (with FMJ's) recoil spring guides break, frames crack and today one had frame rail come off.
Not my first choice, unfortunately have to carry one.

Recoil spring and guides are maintainance parts, every 5000 rounds, I have blown up second gen 23 shooting relolads, I do not like a 40 sw in any handgun,

That's what its all for, either risk running out of bullets for the ultimate reliability, and those precious seconds that involve mag changes, most people do not die from being shot with a handgun, if they are within range of a hospital, so I hope I never have to find out, on either end,

Yesterdays Glock failure

I don't believe there is a perfect gun. I'm just saying that I don't believe that Glock is the wonder gun that most people think they are.

I personally have a a guide rod break right out of the box.

Wasn't my gun, another team mate.

It did run but impact changed drasticly, we couldn't figure out why. Took the slide off and found the damage.

It just seems I don't like the poppy recoil, of the 40. And they hurt when they blow up, lol
