That thing is ugly and I like it.

My friend forged a truck spring flat and ground a Tracker derivative pattern out of it (by request). It was over 1/4" before the grinding started.

Oh..it's horribly ugly. And looks like some kid made it in 8th grade shop class.

i've seen a couple thai choppers. nice.

i've a few cultural choppers from various climes. like them all.

almost afraid to use some, as they are so ... well wrought, but they DO get pulled out of the khukri trunk. must have 50+ still.
 
Trade what do you think about the Ride 135? I tend to pack heavy.
 
added a touch of stripped 550 to my tin-knife. I like how it turned out, not sure about color, thats just the first scrap piece I grabbed to test out.

trade, what would you recommend for a guy that is just getting into kayaking on a budget? is there such a beast that I will be happy with?

Sure, I've seen a lot of bargains on CL and local "thrifty nickel" type ads. If you shop around you can come up with boat, paddle, pfd and all under 3 or 4 hundred. All I ever bought was used boats for years.

buy 2 truck tubes. blow one up, then jam a cooler in middle of second one and blow it up. Then take to river, plop ur butt in the first one, tie second one to ur ''boat'' and float down the river while drinking heavily. best way to spend a summer day that I have found LOL, take a paddle to steer and push with.

just checked out craigslist and it turns out that there is a kayak for sale like 2 miles from my house.....the ad was posted march 15th...I texted the guy and asked it if was still available, now the add said 300 OBO....after chatting I said I wanted to check it out, and what would be the negotiating room with the kayak? he got pissed and said, if all you care about is price than don't bother....

Part of me understands this...i mean i could appreciate it and not care about the price...the other part of me thinks he is a douchbag...why have OBO if you don't want a best offer, especially being 5 weeks old...
 
I have decided.

The FFGs are out..I have seen them stripped..I am keeping my FPR16 and it's gonna be a user.

and then the wood grips I won from Clich are going on it.
