I remember the day that I bought a Spyderco Resilience and thought, "Geez, this is gonna be the most I ever spend on a knife.. " Here are the three on/with me today.

ZT 0566CF - $165
MT Ultratech - $225
Mcusta Tactility Cocobolo - $125

I love you guys, but damn! I gotta stop hanging out with you people. [emoji6]

He's right you know... Your only chance would be to run. But it looks like it might be too late already :D

I said the same thing this past July when I bought a Pac Salt.......it's now Sept and there are 13 now residing with me.....and a BM Grip from the custom shop on the way!!!
Run Chris!! Run fast and hard!!

Joe

Great knives! It only gets worse,, stay away from Busse ;)
On another note,, I see you're from Highland,, I grew up in Alpine. Love it there and plan to move back with my family one day.

I dished out well over two 2K:eek: after discovering this site last winter. I'm really enjoying the ZT's, Emerson, Strider, and Hinderer knives I was able to obtain and the sharpening skills that were learned soon afterwards. It can be "Very Addictive", but I wouldn't change a thing. :abnormal:

I just came back from a 1 year hiatus in order not to spend money. Just blew $200 on another Spyderco. Now planning to get another GEC. It never ends.

If it makes you happy, who cares? Some people mess up their bodies and families with drugs, gambling and crime for the thrill. Another $50,000 over your lifetime for knives seems pretty damn tame.

WE are so happy that you're here. The more you buy, the more I save. Hasn't worked well so far, however.
Yeah, it's fun, but sometimes a problem with finances....wants vs needs.
Nice pics of your beauties, sir.

Hey Chris! Well I don't know what to say bud, except keep posting pics so that I can live vicariously for awhile and stop spending myself ;) :)

Nice trio of blades man.

I don't want to hear it, man. I started out with a crappy wal-mart knife, and that worked just fine until I "went crazy" and spent "a ridiculous" $40 on a Cold Steel Counter Point II. I thought I had gone off the deep end spending so much on a knife.

I now have something like $3500 in knives in my closet. My EDC rotation costs more than my car...

Nice blades! Yup its a strange thing how one can obsess and want for these knives. I've come to terms with it and I think my fiance is ok with it too. Just purchased another one last night but I have been good for a long time so it's all good.

It's a beautiful place around here. We're having a crazy rainstorm right now and, from what I've heard, there's some major flooding up in Alpine. Beautiful homes up there on the mountainside; hopefully all is well.

Thanks for the compliments on the sharps, guys! I'm loving them a lot. I got the 0566cf just today. I de-assisted it immediately and have been flipping it ever since. So sweet!

I remember the "convincing the wife" discussion I had the first time I wanted to spend $100 on a knife. I was 100% sure that it would be the be-all-end-all knife and I'd never need another knife as long as I lived. Hahahahahah...what a joke that was. For a while it got so bad that I'd a package didn't come in the mail for a few days, my wife thought something was wrong. It's a disease. The only cure is to buy and trade knives.

I m still happy with my cheap knives.... But already wanting more Kershaws, next on list is a Leek. I still don't for see going over $100 as I have my wife to keep me in check... That and I have to keep money aside for bows and arrows, not to mention firearms and ammo.

Yup - I had the same thinking as you. Just wait, very soon you'll be exploring high end production knives. Then, midtech knives.....and then after that custom knives.
All downhill from there. You've been infected. There's no cure.
Hang on tight...its gonna be fun ride!

Spyderco Resilience? Did you ever buy any more spydercos? I hope after that you got a pm2 or a military. Maybe at least an endura.

I'm reading this thread while flipping my custom Thorburn and just nodding & smiling.

I love this hobby, and this community even more so.
Enjoy the ride my friend. It only gets better.

Fetch, ZT's aren't high end production? Don't tell me there's more! :D

I might be crucifying myself here, but I fell out of love with Spyderco's shortly thereafter. The only design that I have lusted after in the last couple years is the Rubicon.
