I looked at their site and it looks riduclous, actually quite laughable, does anyone know anything about this?

The claims are absolutley ridiculous.

AFAIK, they were real, but they haven't made a single knife. The ones in the pics were made for them so they could market them. They were at Blade West in Sept, but there were no knives...ever...at all...

Not too pick on ya too much, but have you been away/sleeping the last 6 months?

- Evryone thinks there advertising is ridiculas.
- Dare I say most people think they're 98% extrema ratio rip-offs.
- As far as I know, these knives haven't been seen in real life, they exisst as photo shop pix.

Thanks guys, I did read them. very "enlightening".

Thanks,
sincerely
John

I especially like the part about using them in missions

If you mean by "real" that the knives have mass and exist in our material plane, then, no, they're not. :)

I love the new ad, for the 9/11 commemorative fighter, where they say the notched penetrating hilt, or something nonsensical like that, by virtue of its deployment, is a great bar fight intimadator in 3rd world countries. Hmmmm, how many 3rd world countries do you think they are marketing their knives to? :) Last I checked, average household incomes in these places wouldn't allow for a $300, or even $3 knife. :)

Despite all the flack, well deserved, they have received about their ads, they continue to pursue the same track, marketing, with no shame, or responsibility, to the armchair commando 12 year olds and suburb, mall ninjas. That they also use 9/11 as a marketing tool, just further angers me, and I'm sure others. These guys need to go away. Or change their name to better reflect what they are: "Extrema Buttholes"

They also muttered something about their proprietary: "Expander Tip", for larger wound channels don't you know... Are these hollow points, or knives? And to think, all this time, Ive been foolishly placing my faith in my Glock 17 loaded with +p Golden Sabers... What an ass am I...

Oh, come come.

Surely these knives exist. How else could they have been battle-tested? I'm sure they exist; they must. I'll bet that they're all just off on secret missions. ;)

You're right of course, I believe I heard it said, very hush hush of course, that Tatoo, long, a secret member of Delta Team, carries one in Fantasy Island...

They must all be off on their secret missions because none ever showed up at the knife show!

The missions are so secret, the knives themselves don't even know they exist, now that's some seriously covert stuff!

Its a shame it isn't for real cuz I'd like to have that little folder they have there. It lists for $249 retail US. But of course there is no place to click to order it. Wonder how that lock was tested for over 50 years?

Well I suppose on "fantasy island" anything can happen......

Well I supoose Tatoo is a good choice for delta team! He can be James Bond's sidekick and fit in small spaces, maybe in James bonds suit case so he can go through the airpot "undetected"........

They must take us for idiots if they seriously think they can pull that nonsense off with a straight face.

This is a hot subject that has showed up before. Search this forum and tactical forums.com you will get a good laugh. If you have seen the ad in the March issue of Blade you can see some creative advertising at work.

I would like to test one of these knives to see if they are as tough as advertised. I am no steel expert but it seems that the blades would be tough to resharpen in the field, isn't vanadium used to harden steel. I did a search on the steel and if I remember correctly there was a high amount of it in the steel.

Right now my opinion is "overhyped", just my 0.02 worth

Well, that one's actually an extrema ratio knife, so you can get it from them. Actually, all their knives are extrema ratio knives.

Now don't get me wrong here. I'm not saying for certain that the guy in charge of extrema ratio USA violated his contract, broke of from extrema ratio, grabbed the remaining stock, and tried to get "Dork Ops" knives into production. That's just what it looks like to an outsider, I'm sure.

I don't know if 007 would want to team up with a midget after his experiences with Nick Nack.

Ahhh, that's right! The Man with the Golden Gun. :) Where we saw the evil side if Tatoo...
