Database Error

Here's a different error from a few minutes ago.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear about your problem, it sounds worse than most but I know how it is. :thumbdn:

During last summer or fall I got the cloudflare error all day everyday for at least a couple weeks. If I was lucky I could maybe browse for 5 minutes on some days. I even tried using a few different devices in my house and it kept happening on them as well. Let's just say it really, really sucked! I finally was able to gain access for a few to send an email to the bladeforums staff and I think it was about a day or two later that it stopped all together, and I haven't gotten the cloudflare error since. I dunno, maybe my IP address accidentally got on their block/ban list somehow and they fixed it when they got my email, or it could have just been pure coincidence?? :confused:

Anyway I just figured I'd let ya know that I feel for ya man, whatever that's worth lol. ;)

Down for me for about 1 1/2 hours. It would come up for a few minutes, then crash again. Started having issues about 9PM Pacific time.
 
UTC+10, dropped at around 1930h, didn't look close, for about 10 minutes, then back. Seems my drops are only for about 10 or so now.
 
Been getting the 524 error every time I try to start a thread, has been going on for several days now.

Are any mods/admins even reading this thread?
 
Yep, I've been getting the database error message for a long time. Now I'm getting the 524 page. Just happened 4 times in a row within the past 10 minutes. :( At least the 524 page is something new to look at. I was getting tired of the database error screen. :D

Well...Make that 5 times. Happened again when I tried to post this. :grumpy:
 
just had another short outage (well, it was down but was up again within a couple minutes) back on as of 1926h UTC+10

Not adding this as complaint, but hoping that maybe some patterns may emerge for the troubleshooters. My routing is to south east queensland, via sydney where my ISP is based, I think.
 
Back to the database error page. This is so frequent now (at least in my case) that bfc is becoming unusable.


Aaaaaaand...just as I post this it starts working again. Keeping fingers firmly crossed! :D
 
Every single night for the past 2 weeks this site crashes for a few minutes to an hour plus with that 524 error.
 
On mobile, 4 times tonight. Very annoying. Responded to a thread and all my writing was wiped out. Ridiculous
 
Continues to happen. Since it's been going on for so long, is there not any way to fix it mods/Spark?

Sucks cause it always seems to happen during prime web browsing time, when I'm off work and before bed.
 
For me it is like clockwork, 11:00pm to 11:20pm central time.

My guess is that the forum runs on a dedicated vmware host on esxi that is overprovisioned, and there is either a backup job or some other batch workload that is saturating the io (most likely) or the CPU.

That, or the internet is broken. :eek:

WTH is up with these midnight DB errors? 12am-12:20am EST/EDT every freakin' night...
