I've been contemplating sending or bringing it to Ban for a resharpening and to fix my tip. Just never seem to get around to it. I do think it's time for a good sharpening though, I've just been stropping it this whole time. The S35VN holds a good edge for a loooong time, for my uses anyway.

Just drop it in a priority mail small flat rate box for like 6 bucks. I will see what I can do about the tip. I hate grinding swedges but always seem to be doing them :confused:
 
Hey, let's do a BBQ get-together on a weekend in June. That should give us plenty of time to plan out a day that works for everyone. I was thinking we can hit up a local park and do a hike then BBQ, or just hang out and BBQ. Maybe chop some stuff up, if it's not a crowded park and we won't scare folks :D

What do you all think?
 
I am down for something on the weekends. Sunday would probably work best for me.

Sweet! I think the next guy will be very happy. The tip is beautiful! I know it was minor, but it was an annoyance for me.

Ban, do you mind if I link my sale thread here, in your forum? Someone one who cruises here may be interested.

Got some gear I need to pick up for some trips this summer, but after the summer, all my pennies are going towards a Drop point EDC and Operator. Can't wait :thumbup:

Are you interested in this one, or are you hoping to order one from Ban?

If you're interested, it can be yours with Ban's kydex sheath and a mini teklok included for $250 shipped...

Definitely a unique Mini-Bowie, I don't think Ban's ever made another 3" version.

I'll take pics and post a sale thread with specs later, when I get the knife back, for anyone who's interested :thumbup:

I will respond to your email this evening. Busy grinding away at the moment. The one that Hikingmano has for sale is a Shortie Mini Bowie. It was a one off that was custom made to his specs. I believe it has a 3" Blade instead of 3 3/4" like the regular ones. By all means pick this one up if it speaks to you. I just cleaned it all up and it is pretty much brand new again.
 
Yup, 3" :thumbup: Here is a pic with Ban's personal one which is a bit different, IIRC, and MrPink's (right) which is standard size. (Mine on left)

I wanted a 3" one so it'd comply with municipal codes, so I could EDC without a problem in the city I work in.

I'll post all this stuff in the sale thread later, for anyone else who comes across this and is interested. I just want to be able to snap some time-stamped pics for folks before posting the sale ad. :thumbup:
