I have been out on customer job sites nearly every day these past 2 weeks. I have had little to no grinding time because of that. Heck I don't even have the time to set up my new bomb azz TW-90 grinder that arrived a few days ago. My shop time has been pretty pathetic. But what can I do????

Mrpink is correct. I have only used ironwood on my own knives. I did once use some other blue dyed burl of some sort for a Busse AD mod.

Dude, you must be jones-ing to get going with the TW-90. I can't believe you haven't touched yours yet. Nate's been all over his :)

Yeah, I am dying to get that grinder up and running. But there are other pressing matters that I need to take care of.
 
I didn't have any luck finding a machine stand at Halted or Weird Stuff Warehouse. I might try Triangle today.

Damn, one more surplus store down the drain, Triangle is no more.

Nice shot Russ. Can't wait for summer to come around.

Had some time to build a table for the new grinder. Need to stop by the hardware store to pick up some wheels for the table. If all goes well I should have the new grinder setup tomorrow.
 
yo guys... whats happening... we got in a few hours ago.. we all had an amazing time at the shoot... crazy weather, but sill a lot of fun.. i took a bunch of pics, i'll try and sort through them and post a few..
 
mtnfolk.... Post those pictures Buddy!!! I miss the Trad Shoots I used to go to. There was a time I'd try and hit all of them in Northern and Central California like I was an addict Jones'n on crack!!! Great Fun shared with some of the best people on the planet!!!:thumbup:

Good news, Ban must have been up late grinding last night because I call at 9 this morning and woke him up. :) sorry again lol
 
I just sleep late and wake up not so early. Gonna grab a cup of peets coffee then head in to grind today.
