hahaha... I can try but I don't think going to the range on our anniversary would go over too well.

Happy Anniversary  :)

Hey, I'm going to pick up a 1x30 belt sander next month, for sharpening. What belts would I need to get for it? I want to be able to take something from butter knife dull to sharp if necessary, but not necessarily reprofiling. Seems like it'd take forever to do on a 1x30.

Off camping, "see" you all wed/thurs.

Thanks!

You will need some 80 grit, 120 grit, 220 or 320 grit, coarse scotchbrite, fine scotchbrite, and leather belt.

Try to get ceramic whenever possible.

Yeah a belt sander is the way to go for speedy reprofiling. A 1 X 30 belt with a 60 or 80 grit ceramic belt will remove material VERY fast. Get it to about 80 percent of how you want it then move on to 120 then 220 grit to get it to the 90-95 percent mark. I usually switch to the scotchbrites from there to do the remainder of the edge blending and convexing.

You can mix and match .410 2 1/2", .45 ACP, and .45 Colt, huh? That's badass!

Someday I'll own them all!

Yeah, the prices of the S&W revolvers have gone up quite a bit in the last few years. I remember paying about 5-6 bills for my N Frames and now they are in the 1K range.
