Just read Earth Abides again. Basically, it was like reading it for the first time. I was way too young to remember the story since the first read, let alone fully appreciate every nuance. It's absolutely unique in its genre. A very interesting story exploring the re-emergence of man, particularly as a social animal, after nature has rendered man's accumulated knowledge, technical skills, and wisdom inaccessible. A good read, thanks for getting me to go back to it, J :thumbup:

Not sure if everyone remembers but my friends got robbed at gunpoint in SF a few weeks ago.
Well over the weekend, my co-worker who doesn't live too far from me also got robbed. He and his wife were leaving their local Safeway and got into the car, before they even had the chance to start their engines, they heard a knock on their window and there was one teenager with gun on the driver side window, and another teenager with a knife on the passenger side window. Took all their belongings as well as the car and drove off. They eventually got their belongings back as the robbers got caught a few hours later, but this happened on a busy Saturday night at Safeway when there were a ton of people walking and driving around Safeway.
Everyone stay alert!

Just sharing some Yosemite stuff. It was my first time there, and I loved every minute of it.
I dropped our old P&S in the ocean at the tail end of our last Big Sur camping trip. This was the first trip for the new P&S, so I'm still playing around with it. Pics aren't great, but Yosemite is such a special place that I still want to share a few snapshots
