oh yeah, have a pretty neat idea for a kydex sheath in mind for the hawks too, going to experiment with that once I get closer to completing the hawks.
 
Anybody know where to get steel 1" bearing balls locally?

going to make me a few of these:

I have one of those monkey fists with a 3/4" bearing. I imagine that it would be quite devastating when used properly. Just gotta be careful with flexible weapons because they can easily inflict harm to the user.

You should be able to pick those bearings up at local hardware stores. I know that ace hardware has some.
 
Also for smaller versions you can use old mouses that were using a rolling ball. Inside the rubber cover of the ball is a ~5/8-3/4" steel ball =)

I bought a box of old mouses on ebay and use them a lot on my big slingshot :P

I didn't know that! Always wondered why the rubber balls were so heavy. I always saved the balls before I throw away the old mouses so I already have some on hand. :thumbup:

Earlier tonight, 3 of my friends went to the city to party at a popular club. After parking and walking, they got held at gun point and robbed. One of the gunman fired a round into the ground to show them they were serious. Luckily nobody was hurt. Be safe and alert out there everyone..
 
Damn! That's some crazy chit. I've been held at gunpoint and it certainly isn't any fun. Its a crazy world out there despite what some others may think. Yet, there are folks out there that still will say "That would never happen to me!" Stay safe and be aware of your surroundings.
 
My new polymer pen with aluminum tip. It takes a fisher cartridge as well. My current EDC pen. The Pikal is just a rough ground Gen2 Lagriffe Pikal.

Looks like the gen2 has a shorter blade with a little less curve? And the edge starts a little higher past the index hole?

Are you going to have any Gen4 Pikals with handles next week? I'm REALLY interested in handling one, to see if I want to replace my gen3.
 
The gen4 has a slightly longer blade with less curve. I basically replaced the blade with a gen3 pikal blade. I may have a gen4 in time ready.
