December 2022 Buck of the Month - 112 S30V 50th Stamp/Medallion Ebony Polished NS Frame

I have two 112's with s30v blades that I don't need a sheath for. I also have a basic 112 with the 50 year medallion. This offering really doesn't make much sense. Or is it just me?

Let me help - one knife is from 2018, this knife is from 2022 - 50th Anniversary Knife - there, now you have a reason to make the purchase : )

Pewter meeedaaallion, USA made brown distressed sheath . . . that is all the enabling I can do.

Same price as if you built the knife in the custom shop and added a brown leather sheath. This sheath is made in the USA, though, so that is a positive in my book. This one also comes with the pewter medallion. So, price seems about right and maybe even more reasonable than some other offerings.

However, I just can't get over the feeling that they kind of mailed this one in a little bit. I think most of us knew December was going to be a 112 to close out the anniversary year. I was just really hoping for something truly unique and a must have.

I would have loved a 112 with burl wood, or iron wood scales! It would have been nice to have an s35vn or magnacut blade! They probably would have had me.
 
It's a handsome knife. I need some time to think about it. I've been debating whether to get the basic 112 with the medallion, but that's out of stock on their website. I have the 112 Pro in G10 and nickle silver with the same blade and really like it. On the other hand, I also like ebony...
 
A decent BOTM but 750? I really have mixed feelings on a knife/112 that really is ordinary like this. If it was mirror polished YEA! If any kind of drop point YEA! If S45VN absolutely! Bareheaded I would order 2 .The 50th tang stamp is a plus along with the emblem but it just doesn't make me want to spend that much..But I have a few 112's.
