December BOTM is the model 212

I am a little disappointed after the October BOTM with the candy cane lanyard. I was really hoping for a candy corn themed December BOTM.
Still, it is a really good looking BOTM.

Interesting that Buck has two current models with the same "Fixed Ranger" title (152 & 212).

We have the original model 112 Ranger Folder, a model 113 Ranger Skinner, the retro 212 Fixed Ranger, and finally the 152 Fixed Blade Ranger.

Everything I have seen on the 152 uses Fixed Ranger. I have not seen the Fixed Blade Ranger...yet. I gifted my April BOTM 152 to someone. Does the description on the box label match Fixed Ranger or show Fixed Blade Ranger? I am just curious. I noticed this when I updated the BOTM stats thread. I just want to keep the stats thread accurate as possible.





Now BladeHQ lists their 152 as "Buck Knives 152 Ranger Fixed Blade Knife", but the Buck magnetic black box it came in is labeled "Fixed Ranger".

Says burgundy for handle color, looks black in pictures on my tablet. A bit more reddish in color would have been nice. I already have a few with black handles.

This was the 'thing' with the similar version 212 SK blades released back in June of 2019. Light had to hit the handle just right to see a glimmer of burgundy.
