Dedicated chopper knife for $100 or less... Sugestions?

Bryan, thank you so much for the offer. I'm definitely interested, that is a very generous offer. I really like the handle design of the first photo. That is the kind of knife I'm interested in. I'm busy at the moment (Sunday is my busy day). I'll message you latter today or tomorrow.

Preacher Man, yea no probelm, like I said I make knives now for fun now, not to help pay the bills. I do not charge for my time just what the materials cost roughly. The pic in the first photo is a kind of hybrid. It comes from a design that KEmSAT Survival had in mind for his knife if he was going to have it made up. He posted a pic a couple of years back and well I like the looks of it. It just took me a couple of years to getting around to making it up. I asked him first a few weeks back If I could see his design again and then start on it. He said have at it. I chatted with KEmSAT Survival on the phone and asked about why and whay his thoughts were for his design. I did ask if he would mind if I changed a few things, he said no problem.

I started making up his design, here is the basic shape of it.

But as I continued to finish the knfe I decided I did not not like the angles on the pomel /exstended tang, so I rounded them off and then I made my choil a bit bigger and the shallow dip on the spine a bit wider to fit my hand better.

I really like a choil that I can fit my fingers into and do some carving on. I can get it right to the beggining of the blade

carving and making up this spindle was a breeze.

Anyways when you get a chance and want to chat some more on this you can e-mail tacklebreeden@yahoo.com
me or PM. me.

Chat with you later,

Bryan

That 12" is the sexiest thing since John Holmes Bryan !!!!!! I might be bothering you about that one later next year...Once I get a few commitments out of the way....

I've been taking my Condor 12" bolo machete on lots of trips lately. Built a lot of confidence in that blade. Its FUGLY, but gets the job done very well....

Those little guys are consistently difficult to keep in stock. A lot of chopping power for such a small blade! I've got one right now that's going to be added to the "Grade B" page because the printing on bag it was packaged in somehow put a few blue smudges on the sheath, and another fresh one on the way, but it's the first chance I've had to actually order more of them! One of the problems when the company is overseas and makes big heavy things. :p

Hi Ken, thank you. Yea if i can make you another knife some time just let me know.

I see you like the bolo shape too. I have one in the works, Reuben and I have beenworking and chatting about that too since he likes the bolo shape too, as far a machete goes. I have it shaped and grind ground in, I just have to heat treat it and then put the a handle on it. well make the kydex sheath too lol.

Yea 42 blades that is the thing with buying out side the USA, You can get the work done for pennies but the shipping is a killer.

Chat with you later,

Bryan

Well, thanks to Bryan I'll have a very happy Christmas. Still staking design, but I'm giddy already.

Preacher Man, lol Glad to hear you are feeling giddy. Great chatting with you on the phone also.

Caine, Thanks.

Bryan

my two choppers are Condor boomslang and a HI WWII khukuri, both amazing choppers.

Well, for reference I have tiny girly hands. I take a ladies' size 8 glove. Finding work gloves locally is always a pain in the ass! :p
C'mon it's easy to find work gloves. As long as you don't mind daisies on them. LOL :D

I have smallish hands too.
