Deep carry / low ride titanium clips for Spyderco - Delica, PM2, Manix, etc. - Run #3

"Smaller PM2" style scales for the Delica? If I can get a set in PM2 digicam, I'm already sold. Would love to have my Delica Emerson opener match my PM2.

Also grabbed this pic and thought it was pretty cool:

Pocket tool has been seeing some use as you can probably tell.

And here with the freshly popped top of my favorite beverage:

Hey Flush - I'll keep you posted. I'm hoping to have the proof of concept set soon... I'll post some pics and get some feedback.

Thanks Bond! Love that Emerson Delica. Thanks for the support, I hope the ti tool is working ok for you, and thanks for the great pics. Fyi, if you'd like it re-ano-ed, let me know, I'm happy to do that, no cost.

Hey Casey,
Thanks for quickly sending your awesome, precisely made products.
Got the subdued look I wanted, but I may change to the other clip later.
This little back-up is helping to keep me safer on the night shift.

Interested in 2 black clips, one long and one short. These will be going on my para military 2 and stretch. Totally ready to PayPal the appropriate funds but figured I'd ask about the price of your pocket pry tool I've been seeing around. Very nice work sir!

Whoaa DNA, great pics! Thanks for putting those up!

Hey Smithers - the pry bar is $38, with whatever ano (or not) you'd like. Shipping for it is $5, and no extra cost for shipping if you're getting clips too. Thanks!

Hello Casey,
Wow- i wish i'd seen these clips earlier! So i have a few Spyderco knives that i'd like to outfit with your clips- PM2's and my new backpacking knife, (thanks Santa!,) a Manix XL.

The Manix XL is almost a perfect hiking knife, except that the clip, (and possibly lanyard hole,) is in a really stupid place. I'm not a diehard deep-carrier, but in the woods, you don't want your knife hanging off your pocket!

My question is, with such a big knife, which length clip wpuld you suggest? Also the lanyard hole is directly above the clip- would the new clip obscure the hole too much to still have a lanyard? image.jpg

Also, with these knives in particular, comfor in use is very important- would long or short but better for that? ( i've gotten some decent Ti clips for Benchmades and Skylines that weren't very comfortable in use...)

Lastly, i've scanned over several pages and tried the search function, but am still not certain- is the feather logo available again? (The anodizing looks great, too!)

Thank you for your help, and I'm looking forward to ordering some clips, ASAP!

Hey Arm - if it was me, I would go with the standard sand wash for your grey Delica, or bead blast (adds a bit more shine than the sand wash).

Hey g - I would suggest the short clip for your Manix XL - I think in almost all cases (except for FRN-handled Spydies, or the Domino), the short clips are better. The long clips were designed for knives where the pinch point needs to hit at the same spot as the OEM clips (which would be the smooth Spyderco logo on FRN handles). The short clips are stiffer due to the shorter 'leg' (so have better retention), and the short length means they are less likely to get hung up or caught on seat belts, countertops, tree branches, etc. But that is only my opinion; some guys have expressed that they like the longer clips better.

As for whether it will block the lanyard hole, I'm afraid I haven't ever handled that blade so I can't say. From the pic, it looks like it might. But if you get it and it doesn't work, I'll refund you. And unfortunately the feather logo is unavailable at the moment. The laser cutter who was etching them for me isn't able to do that anymore. I'm looking for another etcher, but haven't had success yet.

I'm sold out at the moment, but I have another batch of cut blanks coming in from my water jet guy this week, so my goal is to be shipping in about a week. So you can still order if you don't mind a bit of an extra wait.

Just send funds for a long clip sand washed. I don't see that it costs any extra for the sand washed but if it does let me know.

Great doing business with you!
