Deep carry / low ride titanium clips for Spyderco - Delica, PM2, Manix, etc. - Run #3

You bet R, I know how it is waiting for a package in the mail! I usually ship every day, dropping the boxes in the mail on my way to work. So it shouldn't be too long before you get it, I think.

Hey seven - it is packaged up and will be in the mail tomorrow. I suspect you will see it Tuesday.
Thanks again,
Casey

Any update on the Powder Coat clips?

Got a need for 2 more Long ones.

Previous PC clips are holding up very well. Been a couple months now and the only wear is on the very tip where it catches on the arm of my chair.

Casey-
I decided to pocket carry the pry bar I ordered before x-mas so I did not use the included deep carry clip. Pry bar is awesome by the way...

I've acquired a few Hinderer XMs of various ilks the past few weeks and as I have been test carrying them I have wanted a deep clip. I can only find one and it is on Ebay and some what of a rip. (yes, yes, I know the knives are expensive so what's a $35+ clip...)

I had a good idea as to what I wanted for a deep XM clip and while doing a complete tear down of one of my PM 2s this evening I decided to replace the clip with one of the ones I ordered from you. As I retrieved the clip from the super secret Lynch North West box, which is now the keeper for all my knife small spare parts, I saw the pry bar clip.

Light bulb... Did you know that you are very close to having a ready to go Hinderer XM deep carry clip? I'll post a couple pics... If you are interested at all in making some adjustments to the pry bar clip to develop a Hinderer XM clip I would love to buy some as well as provide any measurements or even loan a knife or two for development.

It's close enough now that I think it is actually serviceable as is, just not perfect. ;)

Hey Trav - I'm afraid I don't have an eta for more black clips. It's a bugger, but the shop I was using goofed a batch, and the PC had flaws. They said they would re-do them, but after waiting 6 weeks, they changed their mind. Too much trouble for such a small account. I can't say as I blame them, but it would've been nice to know 6 weeks ago. So long story short I'm looking for a new shop and don't have any leads yet.

Thanks for the great uo! I really appreciate the kind words. I'm afraid I don't have an eta on the Millie clips. I am a schmuck. On the upside the BM clips should be ready in about a month (I'm hoping, anyways).

Dang Stx - you're right, that is not too far off. I've been kicking around doing a clip for that blade - I think you pushed me over the edge. Thanks brother!

Casey

Sweet! if you need a pattern knife I would be willing to let you use one of mine.

I can't wait to be able to order some!

You da' man-

Hey Casey,

Just installed the clip on my Domino. Looks great!

One question/concern for you though - I was provided T5 and they did not fit properly and got stuck mid way and couldn't go any further.

The Spyderco T6 screws fit fine however. Heard of anyone else experiencing this?

Received my clips today and finished installing 2 of them!
Very creative yet simple packaging as well, I dig it! Nice style my friend.
Very happy with the clips so far, pretty much exactly what I was hoping for! Feels good in pocket and the raw washed ones are a close match to my Domino.
Oddly though, the gradient anodized one I got is a satin finish and barely a tinge around the edges on the end of the clip. It is nowhere near as vibrant nor glossy as the quoted photo below (are those clips wet maybe?). I am OK with this though as I like low key and don't need flashy, just thought I'd try it and see how I liked it. Tried to snap a pic but doesn't show up very well.

And the oh so faintly gradient ano'ed long clip

Still have to decide which folder to put the shorty on to!

Thanks seventh, got it. Attached are a couple pics. I like the ano starting at the bottom, then fading to the top, but it can go either direction.

Hey R - sorry about that, I'm not sure why they wouldn't fit... my apologies! I ship out the same ones with each clip, but I have another part that uses slightly bigger screws so it could be that I accidentally sent you the wrong ones.

Hey Speed - I'll get you another one in the mail with a brighter gradient ano. I thought it looked ok, but you're right, it doesn't have much 'pop' in the pic. This next one will be brighter. Hang on to that one, and hopefully you can use it on another blade.

Casey
